Big thanks to Keven for coming out to Horsham this past weekend --- and bringing a huge crew of folks from over the border. His 6.2 looked very good in modified. Thanks again for all of the pointers...

Just got word from our Distributor that the TC6.2's should be getting in early next week, therefore they should start hitting hobby stores late next week it looks like.

I pre-ordered mine from tower. I checked their status tonight. It's been changed from late Dec to on order. I think we're getting close. Also if your a super saver member you can use this months coupon and get $60 off, making it $360. That's what I did, but I have to ship it to Canada, an extra $15. Best deal I could find.

That's what I think... I may add 1mm to my front hinge blocks next time out.

Thanks for the responses. This looks like the perfect car that i can stick with for a good while with great parts availability. I was running the serpent s411 which ran great but couldnt hold up to the abuse of mod.

The power of a 4.0 is no problem for the spool. You are not going to break it unless you hit something.

For improved durability, AE now offers optional steel spool outdrives. These are not only themselves stronger, but the plastic blade which is also prone to breaking is eliminated. This will be your most durable spool setup and what most if the team drivers will use when they choose to use a spool.

You might not even want to use a spool. The use of gear diffs is pretty common for asphalt racing so you might want to look at that as an alternative.

I have one in the cart from Towers. Im just nervous about pulling the trigger because of the discussion about the slop and ways to remedy it a few pages back. At this point for $360 I almost dont care and how much would this little amount of slop affect mod touring in parking lot racing anyway?

I'm trying to decide between this and the Xray T4. Over $100 price difference, but damn, I love the Xray looks.
