I haven't used proline V2 foams in almost year so I decided to mount up a set last week to try out. After about 10-15 minutes of run time I've notice the foam got extremely soft but not "dead". I thought myself maybe the foam broke down so I went ahead cut open the tires to investigate. The foam is still in prefect original shape as if they just came out of package but now it has a "memory foam" like squishy feel to it. Did I get a pack of bad foams or is the new "hot ticket" from proline? I've never had a set foam feel like this before!

I used the pro-line foam that came with MC suburbs recently and they looked good after mounting with a nice profile. Round but not to round. After a short amount of runtime the tires really started to get a flat profile. I have a race day on them plus two practice days and they are really flat right now and feel soft and dead as you put it.

Idk about the buggy foams but my friend picked up a new set of truggy holeshits and the foam was way harder then the older vtr stuff, maybe it will soften up but it made the truck very bouncy on the track.

I don't know if anything has changed, but there is a little bit of a wear in period. In a long main, after about the first 10 minutes my tires get better and it's shown through my lap times. Pro Line has is nailed.

Pro-Line has made running changes to their foam design over the past year. First was the molded foams, then closed cell with the ribs being flat, then the running change where the ribs were round and softer. The newest foam has ribs cut out of the inside to make it even softer. That being said, I think the newest foam is the best and most consistent. I haven't had any problems with the foam breaking down prematurely, although a friend had this same thing happen where the foam got really soft. We marked it off being that he let water sit in the foam for a few days.

The main thing for me is after cleaning the tires with water, blow out the holes in the tire with an air compressor to get the water out. This makes the foam last much longer.

These Closed Cell foams have never been washed, literally minutes of 10-15 minutes of before I noticed how soft they've gotten.

BTW, Sorry I got the title mixed up I'm talking about the closed cell foams and not the "V2" molded foam which I like better I've never had any problems with the molded foams the firmness seems to stay constant for the life of foam.
