Default Buyer with odd request

So I buy/sell alot on here.

I have a buyer who wants a $10 part from me. He sent me an email (via rctech), NOT a pm.

He has zero history, just joined rctech. says he wants to sent me an extra $50 for holding them item, wants my name, address and phone number so he can send a cashiers check. Sounds fishy right ? thoughts ?

That does sound fishy, the extra $50 is definitely odd. I personally don't like giving out my phone number to ANYONE on here. I sell quite a few things as well and even though I take care of my stuff I don't need people calling / texting me asking setup stuff.

I'd pass and not bother with a response.

Yeah thats kinda how i feel, and for a $10 item, not worth the worry. At least with a paypal payment you have their money, so you already have a commitment from them.

Never give out personal info. He is phishing for it. Paypal is just too easy to setup and send you the 10 bucks. I'd tell him to move along.

Default scammer

That is a common Craig's list scam over pay ask for difference back and your stuck holding the counterfeit check or money order and he has your item and the over payment or deposit he will ask to be refunded. Run away fast from this one
