I don't think they are making these. I've never seen this kit. Its quite a bargain. What's interesting is that it includes the Factory Team Bearing kit which has been discontinued for a while. In case anybody is looking for one, the part # is ASC90002C. You can still buy the kit direct from AE here: https://www.teamassociated.com/parts...s&query=90002c

When you guys weigh those 2 cars do they have the same electronics, mods, tires, and batteries? The Lite, I believe, was 75 grams lighter than the regular B5M. A CE should not weigh 75 grams more as it has all the same stuff as the Lite other than the chassis....I'm just saying. It would be easy to gain well over 100g just in the lipo. THen, if one car had regular 2.2 wheels/tires and the other 2.4s....the 2.4s average about 10g lighter per wheel/tire, so there's another 40g. How about the servos? A low profile could save you 20g maybe? You could go on and on....aluminum wheel nuts- 6g....pucks! I went nuts with the scale last year.

I totally agree, which is why I questioned it. Seemed like a huge difference and I was trying to figure out what may have attributed it. So the general consensus is the CE and lite are about 75 gram different?

I think Matt was 100% right. They should be 26 grams apart....lets say the Kashima junk on the shocks adds a touch of weight. So 30g difference maybe?

The lite was advertised as ~75g lighter than the original B5m. Mainly because of the chassis, 3 gear trans & titanium turnbuckles. The CE includes all those as options...So if you were to build a CE with the 3 gear it would be roughly ~25-30g heavier than the Lite kit.

I believe AE states the Lite is 75 grams lighter than the original B5M kit, not the CE. I bet a chunk of that comes from the 3 gear transmission, which the CE also has.

I bet the CE doesn't weight much more than the Lite apart from the 26g chassis difference.

The 1650 figure I got was with my car race-ready with the battery and body attached. And that's just a rough guess since I can't remember exactly. The most significant weight-saving changes I've made since then was installing a slipper eliminator using a lightened spur gear and replacing my old, heavy DE10 ESC with the new much lighter Reedy 800z. I'm sitting at 1605g right now.

I'm at 1460 with shorty 4200 mah battery, shorty servo, body, etc... Thinking I might need brass parts on the front or a full size servo to get over 1500

Is the slipper eliminator that exotek blue aluminum one? And how does it work for stock and mod because I switch between a reedy m3 17.5 and M3 7.5

a slipper eliminator is pretty much 17.5 only. I've run a 13.5 with one on super high grip but it likely wont work for you w/ a 7.5. That sounds like a bad idea.

Wow, wish mine was that light! Not sure where all the extra weight on mine could be coming from.. I have a 4500 shorty and a full size servo, but wouldn't think they would make that much of a difference. I even have 2.4 tires. I'm hoping titanium screws and a lightened pinion will help bring mine down closer to 1500.

Yup, the exotek is what I have and I like it but I only run stock. Probably wouldn't risk running without a slipper in mod, especially below 13.5. Weight is not an issue in mod anyway.

Just an FYI, I didn't even realize Associated had a "CE Conversion Kit" until I read about it in this thread this morning. As others have already noted, all sellers showed these as out of stock, but I went ahead with a backorder at AMain anyway. I just recieved a shipping notification, so apparently they do have them - or maybe Associated is shipping them direct when an order comes through?

I just built a CE using the 3 gear trans, alum links, low-pro savox servo, trackstar esc/motor, 4200mAh nano-tech shorty, proline wedges (trimmed front wheels) and 2.2 pinpoints with proline phantom body and it weighs 1549g
