I don't know if you have had this problem yet or not Cain, but on big jumps I've found the rear wing mounts to be brittle if you endo real hard. I've broken a couple of sets on my V5 car, so what I did to strengthen the mounts was to coat it with some JB weld 2 part epoxy. I found some 4400 PSI yield strength stuff and coated the mounts on my V5, it seemed to fix the problem. I took some pretty hard hits off the big triple and didn't have any issues with breakage. When I got home I did the same thing to my 210F, so we'll see how they do when I get it back on the track.

20K based on Travis Amezcua's recommendation, though I ran the car on clay.

Sorry for the low quality attachment, but here's where I ended up after my first weekend on clay at Tacoma RC Raceway. I managed to make the 2wd modified A club racing on Friday night and again at round 5 of the Northwest Indoor Series. The car is much better on the clay than I had expected, and certainly less tire-dependent than my Redworkshop B5M. I think it would be better with 25K in the rear diff OR going down to 15K with all 4 diff gears, and lengthening the wheelbase at the rear hubs would help slow down the rotation (at the expense of some forward bite), as well as going up to AE 37.5 wt oil in the rear shocks. This car would do wheelies on command all weekend, so I certainly didn't have to chase traction.
EDIT:
I did have a couple of minor issues this weekend, but nothing I would consider a quality or design problem. I chose to run just 2 planetary gears in the diff, but during the 3rd run they exploded. After rebuilding the differential with metal cross pins and gears it ran fine the rest of the weekend. The plastic rear hexes also rounded out quickly, so I replaced them with Exotek 5.7mm hexes.
During practice on Friday I landed a jump horribly wrong and hit a retaining wall hard on the left front, but all that happened was the camber link popped off. Nothing else broke all weekend!

congrats!
In your opinion, as the traction gets lower, am I correct to first look into dropping diff oil versus going from say 4 gear to 2 gear? (say you start with 4 gear).
And what do you recommend as a starting setup for your gear diff for conditions between low to medium in traction? (example: 4 gear 10K)
Great info again!

I haven't messed with the gear diff enough to really say with confidence what should be done 100% of the time, but I was diffing out with 20K and 2 gears at about the 3:30 mark in all 3 mains. In lower traction conditions a thinner diff oil should be better (it is in 1/8 and 1/10 4wd), and maybe a 4 gear setup will help with the consistency over the 2 gear. My DEX210V3 has a gear diff with 7K and all 4 gears and it was absolutely dialed, so I am going to try 4 gears and 10K in the F and see how that is.
I don't want to speak gospel as this was my first weekend with the car, just sharing what I have learned so far, so take it with a grain of salt. To start with I think 10K and 4 gears may work best for modified, 7K with 4 gears for stock. My theory is that the increased load from a bigger motor both under acceleration and braking may heat the oil more and cause it to be thinner as the run goes on, and the 4 gear will help maintain the consistency. The other option may be to start with a thicker oil (10K or 15K) and warm up the diffs like we do with 4wd and 1/8. I think I'm going to buy another differential to be able to rapidly change it out (6 screws!) and try more things.

yeah guys just checking in to see how everyone is doing with their vehicles?
Word from Laker67, assuming I recall correctly the wing mounts are the same from the dex410v5, we could see some exotek goodness there in June sometime.
