Tuning haus f104 rims also don't work very well. The spokes on the inside of the front rims have to be trimmed or it rubs
Stick with Tamiya or exotek

you'll have to modify the king ping as described here : http://www.rctech.net/forum/13431778-post85.html

It's been really run shaking down this car and learning to drive a 2WD car after only ever driving a TC. It's been challenging for sure!
I amazingly went the first month without breaking a single kingpin, and then all the sudden I broke 3 within 3 battery packs. Traction rolling just murders them.
I found these Tamiya TRF201 pins at the local hobby shop that are a perfect sized replacement for the modification described earlier in the thread: http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=4179
I threw these in and it's been clear sailing ever since. Pumped to run this car in Vegas!

The word on the street was that VBC(or thier supplier) cut the originals too deep at the e-clip.
Solution:

"Tuning Haus delivers a durable alternative to the stock Lightning F kingpin with a precisely ground, polished and TiCN coated front kingpin. Particular attention has been paid toward improving e-clip fit compared to the original part, and includes Tuning Haus 2mm circlips for the best possible front spring alignment."

Hello,
I recently purchased a LightingF but ran into an issue. While I was putting in the set screw into the Rear chassis brace, the carbon piece started to split and delaminate. Has anyone had this issue? It seems maybe the hole is too small?
Thanks!

yes , you must CA the sides of the carbon piece before and use a plier to hold it tight while you put the set screw. if you have a 3mm threading tap , it's beter !

I was running the flash kingpins. One was bent a little so I figured I would try the tuning haus ones. Wrote them about it. No reply yet.

Thanks, I'll do that. Do you have to seal all carbon pieces? Or just the main chassis and rear chassis brace?
#134
i personaly didn't seal anything else (to keep the flex of the chassis). No problems so far
