Hi Uriah,
First I would like to congratulate you on Murnan Modified Motors' performance in the Winternats. Also, I would like to like to ask if you have any modified 5 ports .12 size engines available for sale??
In general, would you recommend the 5 port over 3 or the opposite? Can you please provide a brief comparison on pros and cons disregarding the issue of 5 port being outlaw..??
Thanks..

Team Murnan at Winternats
I would like to congratulate my team for a great showing at Winternats 2007. I am proud of you all. We had at least one engine in each A main. Sedan, 1/8th, and 1/8th Masters. It takes a lot to win at Ft. Myers, and for that I congratulate all of the winners. I was very pleased with the performance of all the engines that we tested during the week. Some of the engines we tested were the +12-3CT, +12-3SCT, LS3, JL 12 Red Dot, CRF, 35+21, Ninja R01A, Sirio STI. Check out the website to see how each engine ran.

From Murnan site :
The CRF engine was also very fast. The powerband is very similar to the modified +12 engines. It has tons of power everywhere. The engine also get good mileage. Plenty to finish a 5 minute qualifier.

How is the runtime of a Murnan modified compared to the non-modified engine.
Let say for a modified Novarossi +12-3SCT and a Sirio .12 evo 3 STI. What is an estimated runtime if you run 16% nitro?

Uriah,
On a stock 35Plus21 what should the head clearance be set at running 30%?
Out of the box it was 0.022". I run 30% and usually set my clearance to 0.028" on my 321P's. I just wondered if maybe the combustion chamber was larger on the 35Plus21 and hence why it is at 0.022" out of the box with 0.7mm of shims.
Should I add a 0.1mm shim to bring it up to 0.028"?
Thanks

Due to the success of the testing at the Winter Nats, are you considering on releasing a modified JL Red Dot soon? If you are, do you have rough time window as to when you might do so? I would certainly be interested in acquiring one at the first opportunity! Hope to see ya at the next big race at 301 Raceway.
