Default Losi 8 scale Step Pin Tyres ????

I just bought some step pin tyres and went to mount them and to my horror they are a different seize.
They seem to be bigger in diammeter. They wont fit my new K factory rims or any other brand of rims I own. Are they only for Losi Rims?? It wouldn't be a first for Horizon Hobbies to make something not universal if that is the case.
Can any one inform me please. I will sell them if this is the case. Thanks.

Yup, Losi rims.

I mount (Pretty much) everything on Losi rims as they are a larger diameter anyway, it helps for a few reasons but mainly i like my side walls to be as low and firm as possible most of the time.

I don't drive a Losi car. I also like the step pins on damp dirt, but they do have a habit of wearing quickyl if it is a little rough and stony.

Thanks for that . I will sell them as it will change my gearing and ride height. Not worth the hassel for one set of rims. I race on low traction tracks so dont need the lower profile.

hmm, I mounted a set of Losi XBT buggy tires on Advantage Spoke wheels and they fit right in, been using them for a couple of gallons now and they are holding up great so far.

I ran into the same problem. I bought my buggy used and had no clue when I picked up some losi step pins. The tires are noticeably bigger and float on regular 1/8th scale rims. I bought a pack of 12 panther rims only to turn around and have to buy a set of losi rims. Lesson learned.

Oh Well, I bit the bullet and have just orderd a set of Losi rims from A Main.
Didnt really need any more rims but since they are different it could come handy later on.
