From the castle site:
3.251 Added Mamba Max Pro 1 Cell controller to Field Link programmer
Bug Fix - HPI Blur controllers incorrectly showed that a new version of software was availabl
e

3.253 :Added firmware V1.26

So no there doesn't really seem to be a reason.

This all depends on your track size if it's big and flowing gear it at 5.0 - 5.5 FDR if it's small or medium size track gear your motor at 6.0 - 7.0... Motor runs hotter if it's under geared specially with the use of timing advance. Their is always a sweet spot on every motor and you need to find that.

I ended up with a range of 5900 to 25000 IIRC (this was for 13.5), I just had problems with the cars handling and my transponder missing laps that but me down in the B, although I did salvage a 3rd place finish in the B.

If you dont have a fan on the motor, get one. Its worth about a 20* drop in temps.

Thanks guys. I am very happy with this speed control. Since I am the ONLY one running it at my club it makes it a bit hard to get it right as I have to do all the testing!

Also how do you stretch it out further? 5900 to 25000?

My version only allows me to pick start and finish at the moment it is

5000 - 15100

When you go to select the range, hit custom, and then the up and down arrows for the start RPM, and then the drop down box for the end RPM options

geeunit1014 how was your speed down the straights at Jackson compared to the others? I didn't get to make it but looks like I can run the race at Frederick and Trains and Lanes in the upcoming weeks.

I don't have much time running my MMP so its still a learning process with gearing and all.

It was good, I was slightly down compared to the top guys(2-3 car lengths), but im very sure that was because of car handling, my car was a pile all day, and they ran a sweeper onto the straight, and I kept having to square it up because the car was a pile so I had no drive in the fastest part of the track. It seemed like the track was giving everyone but Haynes fits

Im thinking about going to Frederick's race. I would guess my 17.5 settings with around a 7 FDR should get you going real nice

Yeah if you have to check up in the middle like that I'm sure it kills you speed at the end.

Right now I'm at I think 6.76 with 42 degrees of cheat and right around 5000 to 15000k for the rpm. I will have to check the that for sure but that is with the DUO in the 2nd timing hole. I have a brand new LRP 17.5 I have yet to even try and I still have a Novak 17.5 Ballistic as well that I have not ran that much.

My TC5 should be better this time at Frederick because I made a rear camberlink change that should really help loosen the car up a tad and get me that steering I was missing last time I went to Frederick.

v1.26 of the software makes it so when you are not using the CHEAT mode the yellow LED on the Max Pro will flash when the vehicle is in neutral. It will be solid yellow if CHEAT is activated. This is for ROAR rules, and makes it easier to tech. So there IS a reason to upgrade IF you run ROAR rules and your track requires you to have this feature.

Will see what happens. I don't run much so we might not see too much speed from me.
