Default Off Road Buggy with On-Road tires?

Hello guys i am new to this forum but have average experience with RC and nitro engines (i'm a mechanic)

My question is, has anybody put On road tyres on an off road vehicle in an attempt to improve road handling?

I own a cheap and cheerful HSP 10th buggy and love its speed however the handling could do with a bit of tweaking. would it be beneficial to use some tyres from say the 10th HSP nitro on road cars (not drift cars).

also what is a good base setting for my toe-in/out and camber alignment for front and rear wheels?

thanks

If its somthing you want to try then do so. Make sure when you buy the hex are right size. Also try since ur on road lowering suspension for low cg.

If you're running an off-road car on pavement, you can definitely try some on-road rubber tires like slicks or something with an on-road tread, or even foam tires. Not sure what will fit the car.

As for toe, start with about 1-1.5 deg of toe out in the front, 2-3 deg toe in in the rear (front wheels angling out, rear wheels angling in) and go from there. You could also probably run some stiffer springs and heavier shock oil to improve on-road handling.
