yes the piston is moving when i spin the drill. when i spin the drill counter clockwise the piston moves but clockwise it doesnt. is my clutch bad?

if im not mistaken it needs to be counter clockwise.

fwd as in foward? when i put it in foward the piston doesnt turn but when i do it in unscrew the piston moves

im gonna say the one-way is worn out, as im pretty sure the drill needs to spin in foward...but its been awhile since i used one

on youtube i see trucks having the pull start and it looks like its going foward when they start it

yeah, a drill is very hard on the bearing

if the engine is flooded (the piston cant move) the drill still tries to spin it over causing the one-way bearing or the starter shaft to wear out

i see but why does it turn the engine when i reverse it? do u suggest to buy a pull start? or get the same setup?

barely...it should be spinning as fast as the drill if it were catching
