What i was told is even if you have say an hrp account you have to sign up to be a dealer for Durango sign a bunch of papers saying you will follow there rules and such . then your hrp account will be upgraded to show the correct price!!

But not sure if that is 100% although it came from a reliable source

I still don't have a car, My car was sent to Gerd to build before coming here and German customs delayed. it. It is in the mail now and will hopefully be here tonight (friday). So far I have driven Gerds car for a few tanks and while it isn't my radio or set-up I am very impressed with the car thusfar and can't wait to get mine and really start running it.

With the above mentioned......My best lap today was a 45.0

Please share your set up with me Ryan. I will get my 408 this coming week. Won't have a chance to try it out at Pattaya but will try to get the hang of it at the local track. I think it will take me a good 3 days to get the car built and ready.

Amain did work something out with HRP when the 4wd buggy was first release. For the first month or so you could only buy parts from Amain, other shops weren't allowed to sell parts online.

FWIW, RPP and Amain both have the car listed at $699, I don't know what your dealer site shows but I'm pretty sure Durango has a MAP pricing plan for their cars.

considering the long-awaited release of this buggy, a few false release dates, doesn't seem like many dealers are selling it, with what a durango dealer said above me....i wonder what the parts availability will be like??

This is what I was told also. Its not that you cant sell online
you just have to meet certain qualifications first.

We are an authorized dealer and it really doesn't take much to become one. Just abide by their agreement. The understanding of the "authorized dealer" agreement is to eliminate the ebay, trailer and non brick and mortar store sellers. Its great for the shops that actually have a store front with overhead. Don't get me wrong I like buying whole front ends for 5 bucks for my 1/8th scale buggies but in order to maintain the brand quality and support the hobby shops that have a front I think they are doing this.

You are 100% correct that HRP is being shop loyal. We really do not order from them. We pretty much only carry the Durango line and some Racers Edge products.

From what I gather anyone who has a legit shop can become an "authorized dealer". I knew the Durango would be a good line to carry because of the policy that shops had to go by. This allowed established shops who put a lot of money into rent, electricity etc. etc. to not get under cut by shops or people that part kits on ebay or try to make $10 on a kit.
