There is one thing holding me back from ordering the DEST210R , and trying to jump start that ST class again. I'm tired of searching/reading posts and coming up with nothing on 12mm hex adapters except custom made ones. If there is a site somewhere, please point me the right direction.

Nothing wrong with the 15mm hexes, the TD wheels are cheap and strong. You can also get wheels from DE Racing.

I did the same thing for a couple of months. The only thing I ever found that seemed like it might be doable is: http://www.petitrc.com/setup/durango...herWheels.html

I did buy a set of tires to mount onto the kit wheels and after trying it out I do like the way they fit. In the end I think I'm going to buy wheels and switch over to the 15mm Durango intended. Its pretty easy to remove tires from my 12mm wheels using acetone fumes.

I also like the way the wheels fit on the 15mm hex, I think the bigger hex provides more support for the wheel in general. I've also seen associated's with 12mm hexes round out the wheel inside when running big power.

Ok, that's the second time you said 14mm. It's 15mm. The Durango buggies are 14mm. The trucks are 15mm.

I'm pretty new to Durango, had a DEX408T last summer for a bit, but now that I moved and race indoors I am back to 1/10th scale. I just picked up the ST maybe 2 months ago, like it so much I bought a DESC210R kit for my wife to run and I ordered a DEX210 V2 yesterday.

My main racer is a B5M in stock buggy, but I want to mess around with the Durango and see how it does.

I've also just started racing the ST in the 2wd mod truck class when there is enough to run.

Anyone use the 81T spur in their ST or SC? I'm used to an 84 in my associated but don't really want to buy a machined one for $15 just to get 84. I ran 20/87 with a 7.5 so I'll probably just try going to a 21 and see if that helps. 19/81 is right in between those two so I thought that might be a good FDR. Dropping all those teeth though I'm wondering if it will change the feel and make it feel harsh? It should however put the motor closer to the rear axles for a little better grip too.

I'm over the 15mm wheel hex thing. I can live with using the same rims on either front or rear of a vehicle.

New problem keeping me from hitting the "confirm your order" button for the DEST210R is parts. I am waiting for a reply from Hobbico/Team Durango about the discontinuation of the DEST210R on Tower Hobbies.

Parts hasn't been a problem with me, they are all mostly the same parts as the DESC210R and the DEX210

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster...

So, after 20+ years of bashing RC cars in fields and parking lots, I entered my first race Saturday night. Novice class, 4 SCTs, 1 buggy and me (DEST210). I took qualified 1st in 3 of 4 qualifiers, Took the TQ for the Main and managed a 2nd place finish. SO MUCH FUN! I cant believe I stayed away from racing all these years. Thanks to Jeepy2013, I now know how much fun this is goign to be!

I'll post up my setup this evening when I get home so you guys can critique it. The ST is the RTR version with a Reedy sonic 17.5, Tekin RS (original version) and a slow futaba servo all controlled by a spektrum DX2L.

Tons of understeer when I get on the throttle but TONS of steering when I'm rolling off throttle - I hope its just in the shocks and springs I was running. We'll see this wednesday when I go for round 2!

Thanks for listening - look forward to input from everyone.
