Three weeks without a post. Anyone been racing their DC4LE? I know Dumper has signed a contract recently and I expect he is busier than before. I was hoping to see a setup sheet from him.

OK, a serious question for the DC4LE owners out there. I have a 60 tooth spur and a 35 tooth pinion on my car. I have the aluminum rear suspension blocks as well. My problem is being able to access the lower screw used to mount the motor. The procedure that I did last night was to set the gear mesh and tighten the upper (non-sliding) screw to hold the setting, then take off the pinion gear so that I could get to the lower screw with a long hex wrench going above the RR suspension arm and under the half shaft.
I don't want to grind on my pretty blue suspension mounts and I don't have a 2mm ball-end hex driver (yet).
Suggestions on spurs, pinions, techniques and/or processes?

Nothing on this site for 2 months....Any one have a good asphalt setup for 80'X140' fairly open track. Nutdriver....I bought a long shank driver 5/32 for the Associated motor screws. I am able to get to the bottom screw by lifting the RR susp arm but it is a pain the butt.

Thank you, BigBull. I was hoping Dumper would have a good setup out, but he signed some new deals and may not have time. The track where I race is reasonably small, indoor, and carpet. Not sure I would be much help.

I just bought another to run into VTA, as well as the one for USGT. Can't say that mine will be very good, but I'll share.

Ran my car in USGT trim for the first time yesterday. Had been running a 60t 48p spur. Was having problems gaining access to the lower motor screw, so I went to a 66t spur. This helped a great deal. I wish Damon would've made the motor mount with the sliding scre on top. I may work on changing the chassis to a eccentric cam, like the stock TC4.

Hello everybody... As many parts seems to be compatible between TC3 an TC4, would it be possible to use the DC4LE on a TC3 basis? (Sorry if this question has already been answered)

hello, I would say yes but I think that the arm mounts on the tc3 may have a different hole spacing for mounting to the chassis. and also the steering rack wont mount so you for sure would have to change out for the tc4 dual bell crank system.

I just wanted to post my car with the aluminum TC3 steering rack mod. I was unsatisfied with the stock plastic steering bellcranks and the large amount of slop it had, preferring the aluminum rack. All the mod required was two carefully drilled holes, and I think it would be cool as hell if Diggity would consider measuring out where sliding rack mount would be placed and include two countersunk holes for the rack posts

Other than that, the car has been good. I will likely keep it for a long time. Shaft drive is just kinda fun somehow, and the TC4 chassis just wouldn't cut it.
