HILLSBOROUGH
$2 ENTRANCE FEE STARTS SUNDAY AT COUNTY REGIONAL PARKS
Starting Sunday, it will cost you to visit Hillsborough County regional parks. To stave off closing the parks two days a week, the county approved entry fees of $2 per vehicle, up to eight people, and $5 to launch a boat. The regional parks include Alderman’s Ford, E.G. Simmons, Edward Medard, Eureka Springs, Lake Park, Lake Rogers, Lettuce Lake, Lithia Springs, Upper Tampa Bay and all wilderness park sites.
Frequent users are encouraged to buy an annual pass, which costs $50 for an individual, $100 for a family.
To do so, go to hillsboroughcounty.

Here is a press release about one of our local drivers and designer.
I will probally be driving one and supporting the product.
We received an email from Serpent today, which seemed a little hastily put together...
"Hello RC Press, ... Serpent 1/8 buggy:
we will start releasing some initial info on the Serpent 1/8 buggy in next 2 weeks, so will keep you posted .... -- "
Former World Champ Billy Easton is the designer of the buggy, a project Gerd Strenge (of Durango) was previously involved in last year before splitting. It seems Easton was only involved as the designer; his ties with Serpent severed when the car design was delivered. It will be interesting if Serpent (in its new form) can make the successful transition from an out and out 'on road' company to off road - something few companies have tried and fewer succeeded at.
The question is, can the Serpent buggy bring something new, exciting and different to this market ?
We spoke to Billy Easton who was unable to discuss the designs until after the car is released, however he did say, "At this time though I am very happy with the design and think that the end user will also be."
