Of course he wanted to win that shit! At least that is what he told me.

If you have the luxury of already being a WC, and you are superstitious, I can believe you not wanting to win a pre worlds (Hara or Tebo for example) but come on....
After all i know him better than the most (such that he is 16 for example) and as i say, he was NOT disappointed not to win. At the Euros...THEN he was really disappointed and showed it.
At pre-worlds he directly wanted to go up and drive again after the prize ceremony and that had not happened if he had been disappointed i know that.

You did not hear his thinking/discussion about trying winning the race after his TQ, but i did, and it was after other people started to ask about it that he started to think. Some friends on Facebook also put comment like "Dont win! what ever you do DON'T WIN!!!!!"

I told him all the time to take one race at a time, do his best and try to win and i know that he had done it if he could.
Now it was not his best driving in the final so he was not in the lead at least the half of the A-main or something like that and i put the nail in the coffin with the poor refueling.

Then if you say me or David is full of BS is up to you, i could not care less...on our side we refocus and will try to do a good worlds, a race that will be something completely different !!

As of today, the following have used RCSignup to register their intention to run at SilverDollar.

Franco Rizzo
Eric Deschenes
Chris Ularte
Kendall Bennett
Kurt Kellum
Eric "Mini Mod " Albano
Lance Gilmere
Chandler "RakkaChan " Gilmere
Matt "Scoobie " Hauck
Austin Blair
Chad Bradley
Curtis Door
Jared Tebo

Sure would be nice to get an accurate read on just who is going to run. Many racers are just emailing their intention to run.

Anyone remember the 2009 1/10 buggy Worlds at South Africa?Funny the places those folks at IFMAR manage to found,do they spin a globe and blindfolded pick up a location for the race?

EFRA is "only" Europe, its IFMAR that desires what block that will have the Worlds by this document http://www.ifmar.org/pdf/rules/ifmar...neral_2011.pdf

Then South Africa belongs to FAMAR block (Same as the south america countries).

But after all, it was not so good place to put the race on then :-)

"Basically everyone behind us got stopped. It was so bad at one point, everyone’s parts and tires were being held hostage for “duty fees.” These fees varied from $500 per person, to $500 per group. They also wanted it in US Dollars, in cash, and there was no receipt. At one point I think they were requesting something like $2000 for 3 boxes of tires. Customs was pretty bad. It’s hard to figure out how anyone can import anything into Argentina or make a living. I wonder if they understand how bad all this is for the economy.

Many manufacturers had to pay a lot of money to get the items being held. After some “liaison” with the customs office, some bartering, and several visits to the various ATM machines, most of the items finally arrived at the track."

Reason #98 why I'll never go to South America without 100 Marines.

If customs can hold your luggage hostage without anyone in the country making a big stink about it, they can hold you & your family just as easily. Crooks.

Some notes about your country..

Why people get shot at movies, school, etc?

At least we do not get terrorist crashing planes on our buldings..

Just in America

:
Get out of here, I'm in one of the safest spots on earth. I can bring foam tires into Canada without getting reamed at the border.

Oh, yeah. I'm closed minded for trying to be safe and not going to countries where any filthy official can detain me and steal my gear/money without cause and the people of that nation do nothing. We have a word for that in Mid-Ohio, and it ain't freedom.

Those customs officials saw people that they could extort cash from. Wonder how much of that CASH actually made it to legitimate taxes, nd how much went into customs own pockets.

$2000 for a box of foam tires that are not for sale! Are you kidding me.

There's a huge difference between crime that an entire country condems and holds as a felony. And customs stealing from travelers, and the people of that nation are ok with it.

I wonder how many terrible things they'd be ok with happening to me if they don't mind me getting robbed? Not exactly southern hospitality.

Argentina should be ashamed of this news, not proud of it like you are.

Go back under your rock of cowardice ffwd with your troll account. We don't stand for this kind of robbery where I come from.

Hey there is nothing personal, the thing is i am not discussing that charging us the money was good...remember i had to pay too, I felt as robed as anyone there, thats out of the question.

I was pointing out your comments on the safety side and you saying that people are in danger for traveling there, thats simple not true! (you can not really tell because you have never been there, remember?)

Your changing the subject..

Actually what happens is that the law there is different that what we have at my country and yours..i suppose

There was a formal way to get the gear but it could take days or a week..i doubt that anyone have prefered waiting for that time..

I just wanted to make clear that is safe going to Argentina from personal experience and a lot fun! i have talked with the organization and for the worlds there is not gonna be customs problems anymore.

You know nothing. I´m not a specialist.. but I can help you a little.Let me explain. If you go to a country with a box full of new items, lets call them tires.... you are importing tires.... So you must pay import taxes if you want to get into the country with tires.

If you make the things the right way, you will have the documentation with you and the customs will do their job without any stange request and you will pay based in the documentation. . It is just luck to go throw the customs without showing any documentation, because the control is not 100%.... but if they find somebody carrying lots of new stuf... they will reinforce the controls for that flight.

If you have nothing about the items you are carrying (invoices, or other documentation)... customs office will act and they will request to pay and you will have to contact a local customs broker to get the merchandise in the country, and don´t think that saying... hey.. I´m a pro RC driver they will say... ooohhh... please sign my shirt !!! Nobody except of us knows about this hobbie like a competition.. so nobody cares if you are going to be part of a world champinship ship.It is not so easy to import things into a country, many restrictions apply for this kind of activity, and I will suffer the same if I go to USA with a lot of new stuffs. (Maybe yhe customs officers will call your Marines... Rambo and who knows, maybe Gi Joe)

So, before saying that my country is like any other, please, take a few minutes and read, learn something and then you can post something with some kind of criteria.

All the people of the hobbie take care of the drivers, and all the people will do their best to avoid anything to happen again in December, everything will be ok.... but it is not possible to avoid somebody like you to post fast and stupid conclusions.

So please, go to your favorite couch, put CNN, take care about middle east invented wars meanwhile the bank execute your mortgage, continue talking without sense and after that.. maybe you can say something about southamerica.
