They really use a smaller mazda 6 type body on, so it is like a mini sedan race. Cool !

What, mini sedan race?
I saw the cars with these bodies at live before, i think they deserve to be called 1/12 TC rather than MINI, because they no longer using Coopers bodies anymore.
As i saw from the photos in the sites, instead of M6 as we saw mostly, but also the Mclaren GTR, Honda Accord and DNA, i believe both of them are from HK but not sure the makes name:http://rc-one.com/phpwind/viewthread...extra=page%3D1

Man I hope the class doesnt become a 1/12th class again like when Yokomo, corally and xray made a mini.... I never saw a class die so quickly even with the factory support. I think if we keep the bodies true 1/10 in spirit such as what Tamiya, HPI and ABC hobby have been doing and then maybe these m-chassis 4wd will stick around longer than last time. In other words ban the 1/12th sedan bodies. Remember guys- scale realism is back

Our Aussie rules were written to specifically BAN Sedan shells and also Sports/GT bodies.
It's bad enough that the 4WD Minis tend to be just shrunken Touring Cars anyway, but if the bodies are as well...Then whats the point? You may as well just run a normal Touring Car.
No doubt there's a place somewhere for the 4WD Minis, but for gods sake lets not fall into the trap of Sedan shells for them as well. At least keep the shells the quirky and unusual ones that the Mini class is known for.

Agreed on the no to sedan bodies.I am picking mine up tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has fit any of the ABC bodies on this car?I really want to put the Tamiya Alfa Romeo on it for kicks,but I am not sure if the towers will clear and if the wheelbase will work.I saw a lone m04 racing at my local track and was painted in race livery.Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think theres no point debating on the bodyshell. I see 99% of these cars on our tracks run shrunked touring shells. They try so hard to keep up with the big boys so using anything other than a 'fast' shell would spoil their goal!

There are plenty of great choices for small car bodies in the 1/10 mini chassis - Japanese classics from ABC, Elise and Stratos by Active, and an NSU TT by Colt. Oh, and I just picked up a Fiat 1000TCR for my ABC genetic - just need to find some time to paint it!
Back to topic - I don't know about the performance of this Atomic chassis, but I have raced with both the ABC genetic and the Active A210ss, the latter being belt drive similar to the Atomic. The Genetic was much easier to drive for me, with less set up changes required. But the Active car is a very nice looking piece, as does the Atomic. What is the price range for the Atomic?

Looks nice and tempting, but I have my hands full with my 1/10th TC already. Besides, I love the challenge of beating 4wd minis with my m03/05.

There is a reproduction body on ebay of the Golf gti.It fit an m03 @ 210mm wheelbase which will fit the Atomic car....I will see how this car handles.With as many adjustments this car has,it should be great.Its a mini Xray.Its quite comical really.Thanks for more body options!Will let you know how it goes after the shakedown run.

Oh yeah? Too bad for them if that is there only intention. We had over 20 M-chassis cars this past Sunday and no sedan bodies on any of the cars Pretty much ABC brand bodies throughout the field with a few Tamiyas and HPI's. Great racing too- cars looked awesome!!
