That seems awfully heavy......my car, ready to run, minus the body, is 1551 grams. The car has titanium tierods and screws, but ive also added 80g of tungsten under the transmission.

Less wires and large plugs. Screws and tie rods change for titanium. Don't paint windows of body, and light Coates of paint.

When you measure a car on scales it always has to be supported by the axle in order to get a true measurement. By setting it on the arm you are not allowing the suspension to relax and move the weight where it needs to go.

That viper is a very heavy esc (over 60g without wires). That connector is also adding a ton of weight. I recently redid my yz (y-max conversion), only real hopup I have is titanium turnbuckles I am at 1520 with 25g added to the car.

I could also remove the Yokomo rear camber link aluminum part as when I put it on it really didn't change how the car ran so I just left it on there as my lap times were pretty much the same.

I feel that I have made the car way more stable and the good thing is it should be very easy to make the car lighter and add steering if need be. By removing the 2 brass plates behind the shorty and the brass part in front of the motor this reduces the weight by 94gr. I can also remove the rear aluminum camber link part which I think is around 15gr more than the plastic one.
He is at 1630gr

Me 1688 w/body

I'm a 58gr over him.

So if I take off all the weight 101 total it will be 1587. All the dang wiring and plugs.

I'm having trouble getting my steering setup to get full throw both directions..... I can make it lockout to the left, but still 2-3mm from locking to the right. I've tried shortening the arm, lengthening the arm, offsetting the servo horn, I just can't get it. Is it not supposed to go lock to lock ?
