good luck with the stickers, I used a 4 1/2" grinder with a wire wheel, but i also sandblasted and powder coated mine. maybe try goo-gone or something like that. As for wet noodle, yes it is a brand of wire. I believe all silver stranded wire, also very popular with racers.

wet noodle wire is made by deans.

anywho, i have had my starter box here now for 2 weeks, and i have gone thru 3 sets of motors in it already.

what is my "best" solution on fixing this problem? i have heard to use traxxas e-maxx 550's saw here in the thread of someone using ofna 775's

just want to solve my problem before nitro season really starts here in wisconsin hopefully.

thanks

If you are only running one class, get the OFNA truggy start box. If you are running buggy and truggy, get the OFNA box.
Take the internals from the OFNA box and install them in the Losi box. End of problems. I fought with that Losi box for a whole summer until I fxed it with the OFNA 775 motors and internals. All you need from the OFNA box is the complete bulkhead assembly with motors, wheel, belt and idlers. It may be cheaper to order just those parts from A Main than buying the box complete. A little modification to the cage to move the wheel a bit and your done. You won't regret doing it.

im runnin 2-6000mah maxamps 7.4v lipos wired in series. at first it was just on my new grp, in which i got that figured out (heat it up to at least 180 and then try). then when i went to run my truggy down at leisure hours in joliet this weekend it crapped out on me again and it was maybe 1-2 bumps then white smoke from the sb chassis.

too much power? whats that?

i thought that it was supposed to run at 14.8v for the setup, so why would 2 lipos be giving it too much power than 2 stick packs in the same setup?

Race stick pack's have ALOT higher discharge rate and are capable of feeding the motor's Alot more Amps then then can handle...and they Puff.....a Single 4 cell lipo isn't as powerful "PERSAY".....what C rating are those Maxamps packs ? 30c ?

Im still thinking they are too much.....especially for the stock losi motor's....a pair of Traxxas Titan's might have a better shot at lasting....you could also venture into some 775's.

they are a plain old 550 can...so yes they will...you will need to tap and drill a new set of pinion's tho to install onto the Titan's.

wouldnt you also have to cut the shaft to length to clear the wheel on the one side?
