i'm just getting my x12 setup and I started off with the inline battery setup. The X-ray manual recommends this for high traction but I see most of the set-up sheets shoe people setting the battery up cross chassis? Would I be better off cross chassis? I'll be running in on high grip carpet
Thanks

In the UK Ollly Jefferies started with his cells inline (copying the Associated he'd just come from) but then changed to cross chassis and said it was much better.
This was medium/high grip

Thanks.
I ran it yesterday with it inline and I just switched it over to cross chassis. I'm anxious to run it and see what kind of difference it makes.

Inline will be a LOT easier to drive but not steer as much. Generally the cross chassis will have more steering and usually more corner speed.

So I got it out today with the cross chassis configuration and it was amazing how much of a difference it made. Much more responsive and the rear traction was improved immensely.
I used most of Craigx's setup from Vegas and things were pretty solid all around.

I tweaked a couple things and got the x12 back out for some practice today. I absolutely love the car, this is my first 1/12 car so I have nothing to compare it to but I'm really enjoying it. I have a 17.5 in it for now but I have 13.5 on the way that I'll get in for next week. Some more practice and I'll get it out for racing in a couple weeks.

Typo, it is the other way around? Inline is really fast through corners, but with low grip it is harder to drive trough the full 8min run. Usually rear tires start to slip more towards end of the heat, if the traction is low.

No. What I typed was my experience along with Paul and Hagbergs as well. Moving the battery to the rear across the chassis will give more steering as it will have more weight transfer to the front tires going into a corner. It does other things too with weight transfer but the increased steering is the biggest difference.

Hi Guys,
I hope you can help me.
I have a problem with a lot of up and down play on the lower king pin ball in the arm.
How we can get rid of this.
I thought to try out the xenon racing steering blocks, but wich one you would suggest.
Thank you

Pretty much all cars with a pivot ball that pops into the arm is going to have some play in the ball. If it is really bad or really bothers you try changing the arm. The only other alternative would be to find a pivot ball that fits a bit tighter. But it is better to have a little slop then to be to tight. Changing the steering knuckle is not going to effect slop in the pivot ball.

Default X12 2015

My car is race ready with the optional graphite axle and titaninium screws kit and tips the scale at 707 grams without a body. My body will be about 40 grams so I will be almost 20 grams heavy. My wiring is very clean and short so I'm a little concerned. What are most others finding?

Do you mean there is slack in the king pin spring?
