Considering a Flow Comp, does it come with a capacitor or do I need to buy one? If I need to buy one, will the "LRP SXX Power-Capacitor Works Team 6.0-7.4V" work for it?

Default LRP won't replace my new ESC that is under warranty

Does anyone here have experience with LRP warranty? I'm unable to get a warranty repair or replacement for my brand new ESC that was defective right out of the box. It's a Nosram Comet Evo and I've contacted Nosram and got a reply from an LRP support rep. They told me to contact LRP America instead so I contacted them about my issue. They looked into it and contacted LRP Germany on how they would like to handle it. In the end neither LRP Germany or LRP America could help with my warranty claim and closed my ticket.

So now i'm stuck with a defective ESC that doesn't even work and LRP won't help at all with the warranty claim. What kind of warranty and customer service is this? Has anyone else experienced this kind of customer service from LRP?

All I can say is I'm never buying any of their products again.

Probably best if you return it to the place you bought it from, and let them handle the warranty issues

I bought it from Waigo Hobby while I was in Hong Kong. Going back to the store now would not be possible so I have emailed the store to see if they are willing to do anything to help. But I have a feeling I won't get a reply from them. I expected more from LRP's customer service and the lack of support I got from them has been a huge disappointment especially since its still under warranty.

it's a product "made" by LRP but it is a Nosram item - are LRP and Nosram the same company? I expect they are/aren't possibly?

bit like buying a renault (that is a rebadged Nissan) and trying to return it to the Nissan dealer?

I have tried emailing the store I got it from. Hopefully they are willing to at least allow me to ship it back and have a replacement shipped to me. Otherwise if they don't do anything I am out of luck.

As far as I can tell LRP and Nosram are the same company because when I emailed Nosram I got a reply from a LRP support rep. Makes no sense to me why they are making it so difficult just to get a warranty repair or replacement.

Nosram, would be considered a gray market item in North America

Would be very surprised to see LRP USA help with any warranty request

That's the chance you take when buying abroad

LRP & Nosram have an agreement, but they are not the same company owners

I have just changed my firmware to 1.5 and i am no longer seeing a setting for voltage cutoff. Is there a default or did they do away with the voltage protection?

Thanks!

Hi all, I am now to LRP and just picked up a Flow Workteam esc, and V2 bridge. I installed the v3.8 software, installed the ESC in my buggy, Calibrated the radio as per the directions and then nothing. The servo works and only the Mode led is solid blue but the motor doesn't run. Did I miss something or is the ESC defective. Thanks for any help that you can provide!

Did you do the factory reset after installing the software? If not, reinstall the software and try again
