It's still my favorite belt design for putting down power efficiently, tall internal ratio and bigger pulleys than they put on any car today.

Agree totally, they had a fantastic drive train. I miss the Losi TC's as they were so nicely made.

With all the by high grip carpet option parts coming out on new chassis, the JRXS R is a great chassis. Short arms, extreamly stiff chassis, and great balance. It might not fair as well on low grip asphalt though. It would be great if someone revisited the design with some modern updated tweaks.

My old Type R is back on page 18 or so, even when I actually broke the servo horn a minute into the race it got me a podium finish at the IIC in Amateur TC. The car is very good on carpet, but to make it run on all that grip I had to run the hardest swaybars I had and glue the sidewalls to prevent traction roll. Going around the sweeper at the end of the straight with the throttle pinned and going as fast as it could the car would lift the inside tires about a 1/4 inch off the ground... scary, but when it wouldn't roll over even when I tried I knew the combo had to be working. The only things I would change about it is the rear diff is a ball diff so it can be touchy, and I think the chassis width can be detrimental because some people don't like the "lock down" feel of hard swaybar combo.

I'm still rocking my Yokomo SD Black Special in the VTA class at the local track that I've had forever and it still wins! Its easy to drive and always hooked up it seems. Also been running a FT TC3 in the 17.5 class too. Its just a small local track so I've been to cheap to buy modern cars cause off road takes up all the $ ha.

I finally finished my Pro 4 with exotek conversion and ran it in USGT. Still needs quite a bit of tuning though.

Here in NZ we run 21.5t as stock touring. I run an old T2R and love it.
Its becoming a bit of a pain to find lipos that fit so I'm running some old IP packs with the bumps on the bottom. Ball diffs front and rear, and it still drives real nice!

Awesome. With the LiPo conversion that's a very pretty chassis.

Exclamation

Been running a Robitronic Avid V2 lately, pretty close to today's technology minus a floating servo. I did find a gear diff that fit, and fabricated a rear tensioner for it. The original idea was to make a lipo chassis for it but Exotek I believe beat them to the punch and not sure the lipo chassis ever came out. Maybe not the oldest car here but rare non the less.

Does a TC5 or TC 6 qualify as an Old TC car yet

I think 'old' these days can be a year or less!! New cars come out so often!

The TC5 in my eyes counts already: 6cell design.

Good point! If it was designed for sub-c cells it qualifies!
