Default Traxxas Ez start...

Im looking for a ez start system for my revo 3.3 my model did not come with one.
I see two models TRA4570 and 5270R. Im not sure what the difference is and if there is others out there. Will i need anything else in addition to this kit? I guess they come with backplate ?

Who did you get it from? if you got it from traxxas it had to have come with the EZ-start

The 5270R Is for the Revo 5308 and 5309 ,it should be every thing you need except maybe the battery for it. And it will fit.

Default you are missing the electric start on the motor

There is a small electric motor that connects on the back of the engine in place of the pull-start. Its that small electric motor that starts the gas motor when you use the ez-start. You will need one of these:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...harness-TRX-33

This has both pieces that you need. You will also need a 7.2 v battery for it - my old ez-start has a Tamiya connector, but I think the new ones are black and different - I'd check before buying a battery-

If your engine has pull start it has a back plate. I think your confused about what a back plate is. it comes with everything you need, it connects to the back plate thats already on your engine.
