Ofna Truggy box help
I need some advice. My truggy bow seems to have become gutless. When I engage it, it seems to spool up alot slower than others I've seen. I thought it was my batteries but it isn't. I have trouble starting my engine with it and it is pissing me off. I know these things are beast but mine seems to have lost it's fangs. Any advice?

Could be possible you burnt out the motors? What are you using for power?
Are you still using the stock connectors? Maybe one of the motor wires came unsoldered? A few things to think about. When I first got mine, I soldered everything...even the connectors on the switch. Also, all my connectors are now Deans.

Lipo? Gel? or Stick Pack? Did you change out the clips to deans plugs?
How old is the Box?
This is what I've seen...1 motor was not working due to bad wire, so box was running off 1 motor instead of 2..
Also saw 1 motor fried, had to be replaced...Feel the motors after running if one is cold and one is hot, 1 motor good and 1 motor shot..No extra charge for the rhyming

Box is 100% stock. I thought about buying 2 mabuchi motors to throw in it. Which actually is what I think they use anyway. Just rebranded. And the mabuchi's are only 10$. So maybe a rewire is in order? Never done too much soldering. I guess it would be best to go to 12awg wire and deans.
I am using 2 4200 stick pack. Bought new and ONLY used in the box. Cycled maybe 10 times.
Oh, and jaz..................ICE ICE BABY!

You're going to MotoRama right? If so, look for me. Ask around for Oompa (Rob)...eventually someone will likely know me. Or see the pic in my avatar...kinda small, but it should help some. Anyway, I can solder up for ya. Sat would probably be best...but I should have free time on Fri as well. I'm only running one class, Int. Truggy. Motors...EMaxx, a little more expensive, but absolutely rock solid in a box

This is a long shot, but check the tensioner. It's plastic and I somehow managed to melt it down. It finally got to a point where I noticed the box was turning into a dog. I replaced it with a couple old 5x10 bearings and it woke up again.
Also, if you've messed with the belt tension, you may have set the belt tension too tight.

I thought it might be the belt tension but no. I checked it. I'll check the tensioner.

I've also noticed that when I depress the lid and the box winds up that the lid actually rubs the belt. I wonder if I can adjust that.

Re-wire it using a 30 amp relay and some Deans connectors
for the batterys. Clean up the metal bump contacts on the
bump switch area. You will no longer be passing the load
through the bump contacts or the switch. You will never
burn up any contacts or connectors again and the motors
will last much longer.
