I had the throttle turned down via the end points on my radio and actually added -20% to my throttle expo to further soften it. I'll need to check my settings as its been a while since I initially put it together. Timing should be turned down all the way.

Additionally, was looking at 2 items for tuning. A full set of sway bars (could use a slightly firmer one in the front and rear) and some 12* spindles and casters. Thoughts?

[QUOTE=Stealth_RT;14014076]This dual fan/heatsink works great: http://www.yeahracing.com/catalog/ya...er-p-3052.html

I was also running a second fan on top of the RX8 to push more air than the stock fan alone.

Don't be afraid to turn the current limiting in the RX8 WAY down. I was running it at 25 and could still light up the tires. Try 15-20.[/QUOT

Come to think of it, I never changed the CL in my ESC (RX8 Gen2) when I took it out of my SCT410 truck, but in the truck the CL was set at 25. My timing is at ~40 degrees but my motor is the 2050KV not the 2650. PS No motor fan and so far the motor hasn't gotten hot enough yet to need the IR temp gun at the end of an 8 minute race. The Nitro and 2650 motor guys do beat me down the straight but after the first set of turns I'm usually far enough ahead to negate that advantage because my car is so much easier to not over drive the corners without all that extra power.

Thanks
Maybe GS Racing springs will work?

Anyone convert an SCTE to GT8? Since the SCTE 1.0 and rally are basically the same I'm going to snag the front bumper and see what can be done and the body mounts should be simple. Thinking 3s/3500kv would be pretty good and a bit lighter than my 8ight-GT8.

Has anyone converted the Xray XB8E or the SWORKZ S350 BE1 to GT spec? If so, can they supply some details please

I'm getting ready to help a buddy swap his Xray into a GT8. I've heard the losi l8ight rear mount bolts up with little work. Bumper is going to be another issue. Wonder if we could talk t-bone racing into making some "universal" front bumpers (ie no holes and flat).

The serpent cobra GT front bumper mounts up to the Xray xb9 with little to no mods. The bottom chassis holes are slightly off but can be easily manipulated to fit. The upper mounts fit well too. Just grab a heat gun and mount up to the shock towers. It will bend slightly and fit eventually fit perfectly.

Anybody ever use a hobbywing SCT pro esc on their GT8? Just looking for an alternative to the Tekin rx8.

I'm using the SCT Pro in my offroad escale, but I'm not sure if it would handle the demands of GT8 onroad. I would go for the HW 150A 1/8th scale ESC instead. Although it is real nice to be able to turn the CL on the Tekin way down to control wheelspin, not sure if the HW punch control settings will do enough or not.
