Nice looking truck, curious though, what state are you in? I keep seeing sct's dying out, but here in Florida they are doing fine. Glad to see them picking up wherever you live! Enjoy the truck.

Looks like a custom made bracket to hold a transponder. The sticker on there is from Mylaps.

First time to drive my SCTE my driveway I feel more easier to drive than my TEKNO SCT410.3. I will test to the track with transponder how can compare and faster lap.

While the SCTE drives great without any doubt I don't know what you two are talking about.
The 410.3 was loads easier on the loose stuff right out of the box. Also the SCTE comes stock with a long drag link which makes it more forgiving that the stock ackerman setup on the 410.3 which has less ackerman dialed from the kit build.
You can change this pretty easy if you understand what it does and what you get by making said changes. Unlike the SCTE, you don't need to buy anything extra to make that change. It's a simple screw movement.
You also need to take out your rear anti squat down to 1 degrees. This stops the nose diving some people have problems with. If you do those two things, your 410.3 will be super easy to drive in any condition.
This is no way is bashing on the SCTE, I have set many a fast lap times with that truck. But in my experience the 410.3 is easier to tune and doesn't need a shock upgrade to hold true. To each their own I suppose. For me I own both.

Oh for sure!
Just thought it might be a good idea for people to set the truck up right per manufacturer suggestions before it gets judged in the way presented is all. Granted that should have been addressed in the manual from the factory to begin with, but it is what it is.

Thanks for the tips on the tekno. I had a SCTe first, and recently got the tekno and hope those adjustments help with nose diving

Is this truck still a viable contender? I bought the kit and parts while I was in Afghanistan in 2014 - when I came home I intended to build it but my daughter being born and me being in school took all of my time! I now find that life is slowing down enough to build the 2.0 and was wondering if something better hasn't come out since '14? I have heard rumors of a SCTE 3.0 but haven't seen it yet! Btw - I plan to install a HiTech radio, Tekin RX8 Gen 2, and a Tekin Pro4 4600kV motor.

It absolutely is a viable contender. This truck is winning races all over still. This would be my choice if I were to buy a new 4wd SCT right now. I'd build it bone stock too, no upgrades needed. But some here will give you a list of upgrades you need. I only have a couple and they were just a waste of money.

OK i run last weekends to my local track but not happy either my Tekno 410.3 better to drive than SCTE 2.0. Anyway I didn't change anything set up from the previous owner i will change diff oil, also shock oil very soft. Previous owner said the shock pistons is m2c delrin but seems to soft with shock oil. Any recommendations shock oil for m2c delrin piston?
