Wow, now that's really expensive. I pay $20-25 (depends on shop) for the tires and $17-20 for the rims.

I need a new clutch bell. All my shop carries is losi and racers edge. The teeth on the losi are to long. I have never heard of racers edge. Is that a good brand??? They have a race this weekend. I could bite the bullet and order a mugen but it wont be here till after memorial weekend

When that happened the sput pretty much ate the bell. It is still good but has some high/low spots in it. I could filed the high spots down i guess. But would rather just get a new bell. This is all because i shimmed my diff on the wrong side giving it to much mesh. I shimmed it on the other side and everything is fine. All the gears, spur and diff are not harmed. I did blow the clutch bearings though. Might as well replace the bell. Is racers edge a good clutch?? Or do you think the one i have will be fine. The teeth are still good. But just worn out in some spots more then others.

I know the price of tires is pretty frightening. If i would have know they were this expensive i really would have taken better care of the ones i have. But i did anyway. they just wear out. some of the tread is still there. but to race on a track i need good pins on them. I will have to buy them 2 at a time

Tires last the longest if you stay off pavement and gravel. Keep an old set around for bashing in the yard and driveway.

Keeping the wheel spin to a minimum on the track also helps. This is something learned by the trigger finger.

A full set of tires and rims should be around $70. Shop around.

Racer's Edge makes good stuff. If it looks like the clutch bell will fit, I'd run that. That should have the same sized bearings as you already use, unlike the Losi bell which has a larger inner bearing.

thanx for asking. The dog is more then fine. We took her to the vet and he said puppys go through this and just to give her teaspoons of honey. She got over it. She was eating all kinds of stuff in the yard including her own poo.

anyway i was just wondering, can you overcharge a battery pack? it's my reciever pack (orion 1500). I have a 8 hour charger for it. But will plug it in at night and unplug it when i get back from work.

also I was looking at my old clutch bell. And it really is not that bad. but you can see the wear marks (like on one end of the teeth it is a little higher then the other all the way around) Is it ok to run it like this??? Will get a new bell as soon as it comes in.

Yes you can overcharge batteries, and they burst into flames, and very well may burn your house down while you are working..You want a peak detection charger..you can get one as little as $30..It will beep, and then Auto switch to trickle charge when the pack has reached max capacity..you cannot blow up a battery on trickle charge.....

You should not run your clutch bell stripped..It will in turn strip your spur gear, it may also blow out your bearings, ruin your clutch shoes and cause your engine to overheat...

how can i tell if my spur is damaged?? it looks fine. Just shinny on the edge. No divets or anything. doesn't even look very worn, but you can tell it's been run.
