Driver 86 quote
I would like to come back this summer and race my SCT and perhaps a buggy but I'm not going to do it if it's just going to be an exercise in futility. I need to concentrate on getting the vehicle set up properly and learning the proper throttle response points and entry and apex of the corners rather than making tons of errors trying to keep up with Johnny Racer who has years of experience and the ballistic hyperspeed motor. Like I said, I'm good with 13.5T. I'll spend $20 on one of my cheap Hong-Kong jobs. I actually like your idea of limiting the tires to those particular ones as well
At anytime I would be more than happy to help get your truck dialed in. As I have mentioned before I will have nothing to hide and will share whatever setup I am running with anyone at the track. The better the racer you race against the better the racer you become!
The only reason I started the Spec class thread was to try to bring another class to the track along with getting more racers involved.

Weekend Racing
I would suggest if steve is racing on the weekend how about racing every other weekend on the off weekend that steve is not racing?
I plan on racing at CCRCR on Friday nights under the lights So I don't blow my weekends kids sports events and weekend races when I can!

I'm pretty sure Steve is racing every weekend. We can still do it though. It'll be nice having 2 tracks under the lights on the weekends!

ribs?
so back on topic, what makes these ribbed fronts so great? is it really an advantage? seems like a minor aspect in the grand scheme of things....

The Edges didn't make a huge difference for me when I was running the cut ones. Steering was a little more predictable but it wasn't any huge advantage IMO

carvers
The carvers "should" create a more consistant and forgiving front tire. On CCRCR I don't think you may notice as much but on Factory and CRCRC track they will be more forgiving as stated before and consistant rather than twitchy like a wishbone or somthing along those line.
The more consistant I can make something on my cars the better you can get at dialing in what needs to be changed to make it go faster.
