Default 1/12th racing in Virginia question

Hi guys, I am moving from the UK to Virginia Beach in April and would like to ask if anyone could tell me of any 1/12th carpet (or asphalt) track that might be around the area. I have found a shop with a circuit within it (debbies RC) but is that the only club/track in the area? Many thanks for any help that you may give, Cheers, Chris.

Yep, the only one. I live in Richmond and drive the 1.5 hours to race at Debbies. Mimi's("The Track") is in Gaithersburg, MD about 3,25 hours from VA Beach is the next closest track that I know of. I live between the two but that NORVA traffic is a biach. You never know if it will take 1.5 hours or 4.

Debbies is a good place to race and while The Track aka Mimi's is a bit of a drive it's a great place to go for the occasional big race.

You also have Hobbytown USA Frederick, MD. Indoor Asphalt Known as "THE C". We race 1/12th scale. They are holding the Roar Electric Paved Nationial's in October.

debbie's is a great place and everyone is ready to help. I was visiting and raced one weekend at Debbies and everyone made me feel at home. Trying to figure out how I can get my company to send me back there again.

Thanks for the replies guys, really helpful, so thanks for them. Are there any websites for local clubs around the area please? I night have a go at electric buggy racing whilst over there, once again guys, any clubs/tracks for them?! Sorry for the questions guys, I have had a look online but it seems that you guys are the experts out there! Cheers, Chris.

Thank you pal. I forgot to ask what the score is with regards to classes raced over at Debbies RC. I had a look on some of the score sheets from one of their meetings, do you guys only run 19t motors in your 12th cars? If so, is it just 19T brushed or do you use the brushless equilavant? Thakns very much for your help, much appreciated. Cheers, Chris.
