Default Tracks Open in NC

Looking for tracks that are open in North Carolina. I live in Fayetteville, and I'm bout to purchase a new truggy, but the guy has a buggy also, both are nitro. So mainly I'm trying to figure out, what are the big race classes? Where can I race? Big tracks in NC? What do they run? Where are the best hobby shops?

Thanks in advance! I miss the r/c life!

Everything you want to know is here:
Carolinas RC Racers Forum

From your location, check out Speed R/C in Mooresville and King R/C in King NC.

My advice is to go to the track first before you whip out the credit card and see which class you want to run and the car count for it. Our track is opening this weekend if you want to drive 2500 or so miles....lol

I just moved to NC and getting back into the hobby also, I'm in Asheville. I think I'm going to go check out S&B RC Raceway in SC. Seems like a nice track and I like thy you can go practice during the week.

For hobby shops in Fayetteville go to Hayes Hobby House off 87. Allen in there is one of the most informed person i have come across at any hobby shop. While Stationed at Bragg he always helped me with my racing needs

Great day yesterday at the Hobby Connection in Easley. Near perfect weather and a smooth running show. Two heats and double mains for five classes. Done by 5 ish when the dirt oval guys took over for the evening show.

Great job Corey! See you next time.

I'm new to the Charlotte area and I just found out that Speed RC's new location is going to be a carpet track only and it looks like Phatbottom recently closed too.

Are there any other dirt off-road tracks around here, indoor or outdoor?

Thanks

Welcome to the area. Sorry but no dirt here. There is a really good off road operation over in Easley, SC at the Hobby Connection. Both oval and hoop-D-Do competition. Great Hobby shop as well. About 2 1/2 hours down I-85. You never know though, you might come to your senses and join us instead. At least come by and check us out on March 3rd.

Thanks for the replies. I've actually been doing practice days at the Grove the past few weeks and went to north Wilkesboro once too. Seems there's actually quite a few good places out here that are not a terrible drive .

Yeah you really have to ask around/search on Facebook. King has a nice offroad track outdoors, S&B in greenville, I think phatbottom is reopening in Cherryville or Shelby. Search those names on the facebooks.

Hey guys so I just moved to North Carolina and I’m thinking of opening and hobby shop as well as indoor off road carpet track . The track would be located in Wadesboro which is off of rt74 .The track would be 1/10th scale . Wanted to get some feedback and see what everyone thought . I havnt found many indoor tracks in the area and I think it would be great when the weather is crappy and the winter months . I have a 30x50 building that would hold the operation .
