I may have a solution to the centre belt problem your experiencing the front belt off a Sakura XI is a 516T and the D3 centre belt is a 519T maybe by using this belt instead might solve the loose belt problem?? part no. SAK-X08

check ebay rcmart have them their heading is
3Racing (#SAK-X08) Low Friction Front Belt 516 ( Bando) For 3racing Sakura XI.

I can't post url's yet newbie member!!

I have just ordered a D3 from rcmart and thanks to your posts I will be trying this to see if it helps.

Maybe need to mod the chassis to add a Sakura Zero belt tensioner as an alternative part no. SAK-58/PK

sorry I made a mistake the front belt is a 138T I was looking at the parts list from the Sakura XI not the D3 damn

I just purchased the Sakura zero belt tensioner after looking at pics of the chassis it appears that the tensioner may be able to bolt directly to the top plate above the post

its ok im going to look at some tamiya, t.o.p. and x-ray belts to see if any of them will fit and if any of the sakura zero caster part will fit to take out the rear toe
bigger off set wheel hex
9 or 10mm offset rims for the rear
6mm offset for the front
and im changing to 64 pitch gearing

hopefully 3Racing will release the optional parts really soon then we don't have to go to these lengths to get our cars running sweetly. the belt tensioner they are going to release has more tensioning ability than the zero and the alloy hubs have less caster angle .5 I think off the top of my head.do you know what parts are interchangable e.g. are the ssk drive shafts compatible, on the rcmart web page they are listed under D3 hop ups, as is the tamiya 44mm Double Cardan Drive Shafts. I think dog bones just don't cut it!

I'm currently running a TT-01ED with alloy adjustable sus arms, lots of alloy parts inc 3racing E38 steering bellcrank, main shaft and ends, but still running dog bones for now if I adjust my steering past 110% the dog bones just fall out under load lol gonna go oneway and solid eventually with 39mm V2 axles. I'm running a bluetak locker in the rear and stock planetary at the front atm. It slides but not all the way out under control. I also have a really tight drift track setup on my lounge room floor. here are a few pics of the track

I'm also newbie here this is going to be my 1st build, ive only had one RC car before and that was an RTR, Couple questions for you guys?

Whats motor/esc combos are you guys going to be running on this?

Dose it come with a pinion gear in the kit or do i need to order one? if so which size should I order?

Ive never had to buy a servo before, Are there different sizes how will i know if it will fit in my car?

from what I know already about RC cars there are 4 sizes of servo 3 are no good for 1/10 1/8 scale you'll need a decent "Standard BB(ball bearing) high speed servo" atm my tt-01 is running an elcheapo towerpro 996 high torque standard servo. but I'm prob gonna go with a SAVOX Super Speed Titan Gear Digital Servo. I purchased this ESC and motor as a combo- Yeah Racing Falsonic Competition Brushless ESC (Version 2) & Yeah Racing 5.5T Sensorless Brushless Motor(overkill I know but I can program it and also control how much power from my radio) Drifting takes a while to get used to, it can be quite difficult to transition from one direction to another at first. I don't want to put you off cause once you get it it's heaps of fun.
