Crushed losi pipe, what should I get next? And a few goon questions....sorry!
Hey a few goon questions.....sorry. I have the losi 2.0 rtr. I plan on racing sportsman buggy
Are all pipes universal size wise for mounting?
Should I stick with these losi 350's or spend a hair more on somthn else like that $160 novarossi. Or is there another bang for the buck motor I should get over the 350 losi
So I have a losi 350 .21. I crushed my pipe, but in the near future I was considering that $150 novarossi which needs a pipe anyways. So whats the best pipe for my future novarossi, that will "work decent" with my 350 losi.
Is a half turn out on the main from when I ran last a "normal" to get my buggy to run where it should, or is a half turn out of the "norm"
Thanks in advance! 871

losi re11&re10 are great for there price and have same characteristics of os2050&2060. re11 is good on the 350 and several nova mills

xept for 2013 i have 1st 4. for the price of them all you will not loose with buying any 2 or 3 of those. jp3 just opens up and is fun to drive sometimes. little loud and lacks milage sometimes but a great pipe at that. the jp4 can be a tad better suited sometimes and sometimes not.

If you like efficiency I would get the dynamite or ofna 086, but if you like low end power I would go with the 053. The short headers will add top end and the long ones will add low end. Both of those work well many motors. The 053 is nice on the OS mills as well.

Dynamite pipes offer great bang for your buck. The 086, and 053 offer great all around performance. The 053 is a strong mid range pipe and the 086 is all about top end. Personally I run the OS 2060 (2042) pipes. I like them and they give me great performance. I have a trinity big boy pipe that saw 3 laps and then went back in my pit box. I dont like that pipe. The losi Re 10 & 11 are also good bang for your buck pipes that cover a wide range. Most nova engines do well with a 053 or 086 pipe. Just my 2 cents.

Man thanks for the help. I think I will get a 053, and an 086 dynamite. Will the losi header work with the dynamite pipes? Or should I get the dynamite pipe and header?
Is a half turn on the main needle a normal range of tune from one day or another, or is that a bit much and maybe I have an air leak?
Thanks.......871

The only problem I've seen with the Dynamite pipes is the header is a little soft, it can be dented or bent easier than some others. The Losi RE11 pipe is VERY close to the same characteristics as an 053... both are mid-range pipes. The RE11 is quieter. I'm VERY impressed with the quality of that pipe vs. the cost- I don't run one, I run the Dynamite 053... but the Losi pipe materials are a little better quality. (Both are great pipes!)
You might think about getting the RE11 and the 086 (midrange pipe and top-end pipe) although once again I don't know the characteristics of that engine.
