Bumps and Jumps 2010 - 2011 season

the whole idea is to keep the spec class cheap - with all that stuff that would defeat the purpose
Plus I am sure you would be competitive in 17.5 with all that stuff, just because it is 17.5 doesn't mean you can't run the stock brushed motor.
see rules on bumps site
Pro Short Course Rules: Same as above with the following allowed upgrades
Body
Motor
Any RTR brushed or 17.5 or slower brushless motor may be used. You may run any RTR brushless system or the Dynamite Fuse short course system

no - only hpi motor and xxx-sct servo replacement and the sc10 may use slash esc

For those that might be new just because you run a spec class don't mean you you should never work on the truck. You can still tune plenty with ride height, oil weights, battery placement and on some of the can change toe in and camber links. Keeping a well maintained truck means alot. SOme benefit more than others but the Slash (hint for newbies or anyone that don't know) really like and perform better when the shocks are kep smooth and new o rings frequently. Clean and well oiled bushing on the motor also help performance. Also motors that are fresh and broken in run better than old motors that where not maintained.
Remember each SCT has good and bad points. You have to pick the one that fits your drive ability by what i s good and bad. I ran the SC10 at last years Elite Challenge in spec and TQ'ed by good amount because the in spec for the SC10 has the fastest motor by far but also the worst tires. WHen I ran heats and wasn't pushed I ran fast times to TQ. In the main I was pushed and the shitty tires bit me in the ass. I could of ran a Slash and been a little slower but have more traction and probably won but Frymeyer had the HPI Blitz has good tires and adjustable toe in the rear but I would say a suspect speedo with no reverse lockout. He used his trucks advantages over my trucks advantages that day.
