Questions?? Idle

If the idle is too high on the truck will the truck accelerate?

it could. The RPMs are high, which causes they clutch to engage.

Yeah that's probably what it is because nothing is sticking.

It could also be the clutch itself... Springs are known to break or get soft...shoes can break as well.
