Got one of these for Christmas
I am completely new to the hobby and something happened


A little screw popped out (the one connected to the end rod set) from the front of the main chassis I think you can just screw it in but how the thing is extremely small

This is my first hobby RC and i really am enjoying this truck.... Until this happened

I ran into the same issues as you trying to find a good servo saver...I used the rc18 saver for a while and didn't like the inconsistent steering.It wanders and does not always center.So I am risking it with a straight servo horn.Another thing I found is for people using a spektrum dx3r radio the hitec servo is analog and the framerate needs to be changed to slowest setting for the servo to operate correctly.Mine was glitching really bad. It was used so I assumed it was a bad servo...changed the frame rate and it works great!

I'm using a DX3C, so no frame rate options.
At least none that I've found

I'll go hunting for a RC18 saver and see how I like it.

Sounds like one of the balls for one of the links ?

They have a 0.05" allen key head, so yeah, kinda small.

I have driven this truck and Im actually picking one up along wiyh some 3s lipos. I really think this is a great truck for any begginers looking to try SCT racing. This truck or the 1/16th Slash. Once theyve master this 1/16th... then move on to a 1/10th real SCT.

I actually find this truck a lot harder to drive than my SC10,
Just seems a bit too light and a bit too slippery in the rear.
I guess it all comes down to where you run it really.

Is a cool little truck tho.
Still running w/o a servo saver w/o issues

Hi. I have just bought a mini sct. This is my first rc car. I love it so far. Have ordered a few spares and 2s lipo's. And will put a new H55 servo with saver in. My main issue is tires/wheels. Please can you guys tell me what the best option is. Are the slash wheels and tyres ok on the rear?

I have read a few places where they say the slash tyres will fit on the stock sct rims. Can anyone confirm? And therefore just buy 4 slash tyres and glue it on the stock rims instead of having 2 stock on front and 2 slash rims and tyres on the back.

I just installed a Hitec HS-82MG servo in mine last night. It wasn't too bad to make it fit. I don't know if the instructions/pictures have been posted in this thread already, but I can do that if anyone is interested.

The stock servo horn fit just fine, but the 2.3x5mm screw that comes with the HS-82MG does not work. I think I probably need one that is closer to 10mm long. I know you can drill/tap the servo to use a more common 2.5 screw, but I ended up ordering JRP980187 (2.3x15mm) instead. I just figured I would cut it down to a length that works.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

ok i got me a sct and was seeing if some one has tired using the associated rc18t2 servo saver was tryin to put in a hs65mg but have a servo saver on there..

Yep, see post #41 of this thread or this entire thread for good info.

I've got three of them running on a little backyard track. Good fun!

Other tip: 1/16 Traxxas Slash tires on the rear. They last much longer.

i know that the rc18t will work........but what about the rc18t2 they made a whole new servo saver.the first one kinda sucks and wonders after some track time...

Ok the rc18t2 servo saver and a hitech 65mg is a good fit but you need to find a screw that fits and works good to. I'll post pic's when get time.... This truck is the stuff after a good servo and some shocks and lipo...
