Werks Racing Clutch or just upgrade to the Mugen Springs???
I have a few questions on clutch selections.....
I have been looking at the Werks Racing Power Clutch (either the Carbon or the Teflon) and have almost made up my mind to pick one up. Its the price issue that is the biggest concern I have....is it worth it....or am I better off going for the forum recommended Mugen clutch springs to replace the stock ones.
I would really love to have some honest input and assistance so i can essentially have the proverbial twisting of the arm either way!!!!
Also.....I want to buy the Proline Crowd Pleazer 2.0 body for the buggy however which of the bodies will fit (i know not directly)...the Crowd Pleazer for the 777 or for the Hyper 7...which one would look better and fit better?
As usual this board/specifically this thread rocks and keeps me and my Jammin well.....jammin!!!

One more thing....
Almost forgot.......
If you all recommend the Mugen springs as replaecments...what sprngs specifically do you recommend for my X1CR that is running a Ofna Hyper 8 Port Race motor and a Ofna/Jammin JP-1 pipe.
W.E.D. Jim...as soon as you all come out with a body for the X1CR, you can count on me to order up 2....
Thanks again everyone!

clutch
as far as the works clutch go I have not used one but have seen people who like it and it not changed shoes for several gallons. I have also seen people have issues with tuning the clutch for proper engagement. That is what has kept me from getting one but I see one in my future. WIth the springs I have had the best luck with the Mugen aluminum shoes and Mugen 1.0 springs. I get 1/2 to a gallon on this set up and it seem to work with every motor. Mugen 2.0 body fits the Jammin with very little adjustment. I also am running a stock Mugen body which was not hard to make fit.

Blue clutch shoes and Gold springs
I just got in a couple of sets of Blue clutch shoes that came with a set of black and a set of gold springs. Anyone know if the gold springs will hold up? I tried the silver springs that came with the Jammin kit but 2 springs broke after only 5 tanks ruining the clutch. The blue shoes seem to work ok with Mugen springs but I really don't want to buy more springs if I don't have to.

X1CR RTR QUESTIONS
Just getting started in 1/8 scale and have a few questions.
1)In the glow plug package there where 2 copper washers. Is one an extra or do I use both on the plug?
2) I have broken the one way bearing in the roto start. Who makes the roto start and can I get parts for it???
3) In the roto start package there was a rubber washer. I can find no instructions as to what to do with it.(could this have contributed to #2)

I haven't gone thru a RTR X1 yet, but I still may be able to help a little.
I would assume two washers, if in a glow plug that came in the kit, may be for the plug if used in an O.S. engine, which takes a shorter plug, requiring two washers....or for a replacement of a worn one in the future.
The roto start should work well enough, as long as the engine isn't hydro locked, from flooding, while trying to turn it over. If it is already damaged have your local shop(or where you bought the kit) order a new bearing, parts are available seperatly. The other option is a starter box, which is the best method.
Good luck, Jim

Jammin X1-cr
This is the set up I have been running.
Tires- Panther Komodo Dragon 2's (unclipped) med/soft with jammin foam
High Traction rear wing
Diffs- 5-7-3
Brake distribution f/r 20/70%
Ride hieght f/r slightly above/bones level (Short front shafts)
Shock hole positions middle up top 2 inner hole down below 2
Shock weights f/r- 50 ass/40 losi (stock pistons)
B block Upper inner hinge pin locations f/r- top hole/middle inner
motor- RB concept S5 /8 plug/ JP1 Pipe
servos f/r- 358/94102 (w/expo tweeked)
Fuel economy- full epa on throttle linkage 57% H- ran it at 47% H
I've been messing with the gearing- right now i'm trying a 15/46

The high traction wing is made by ofna...it has dual levels '='.
The shorter shock shafts are 3.5- hong nor kit part 202 A- about 6mm shorter. Also I run limited down travel on the front (about a thread and 1/2)
The high gearing is an experimental thing that I am currently looking into. no oval
this week I will try xtm front arms (3mm wider each side) and o-ring pistons-

# brake - where you put the 10% balance brake distribution
# ride height - how to examine the ride height
# servo - what the advantage of w/expo tweeked
# fuel economy - the car cannot go fast, how to win race..

finally!
Well, I finally ordered a motor for my Jammin' car! Bought me a Trinity Sirio 21 BK EVO2 "Kanai EVO 2" NIB for $300 smackers... I'm psyched!
Question: I want a hardcoated Jammin' pipe - should I get the jp1 or jp2? I mostly run on a fairly short track but I occassionally race at a track with 120 foot straight... any opinions?
Also, should I run 30% in this engine?
Thanks!
