Anyone have a answer for me lol???

I was wondering about the short aluminum shock mounts? Do you guys run them in the rear and the standard aluminum shock mounts in then front? Open to opinions...thanks

I just watched a Moto-X race where all of the dirt bikes ran slicks for tires...

...not

Anyone else here race when we ran on top soil (not clay) tracks and used "Moto-X" style tires that provided tons of traction, which where hard "plastic-feeling" compound and lasted for months? Oh and no need to sauce or hope that the dirt track that we were racing on was "dust-free" on the surface?

yeah, I also remember trying to get metal filings out of my motors and resorting to vet wrap or coffee filters to help. I raced in the 80's, but I dont consider those the "glory" days, lol. We also had small jumps back then. Not like today's super aired flyer club. I also dont miss working very hard to make a 4 minute race before dumping. Yeah, what we do today is more like onroad with jumps, but I still enjoy the hobby and i enjoy not spend hours and hours trying to finish off my kits to make the smooth. But these days I have kids and dont really have the time to do finishing work on kits that assemble poorly. So the set it and forget racing we do today, is nice.

7 cell hump with a stock motor man! You could go 6 minutes with that!

I use the #91446 (and #91447 of course) front and rear on mine and everything fits fine.

I was looking at my rc10 the other day. Man, I was utterly clueless back them. More so than today . I did so many mods and most of them probably hurt me more than helped me. My rc10 is almost 100% aftermarket parts. My chassis was all cut up and I didnt even know what a roll center was back then. I believed spending money would make me fast. Well, I am now over that, lol. I felt sick putting pucks on my car, lol. Aside from Lunsford turnbuckles and the AVID slipper, I dislike most "upgrades". And yeah, novaks were the sh$t. I still have my 410 in my box of old stuff.

55 is just short of a 1.4 , please take note
A 1.3 is very close to , well ?

1.3 duh...

I want a 4 x 55 please ...not a 1.3...

Here are my cars just before the 1993 Reedy Race. You can see the RC10 is pretty darn stock - the Lazer is somewhat hopped up with AE shocks, Kyosho tires, etc. But they both have the 1400 mah SCR red packs in them and while there's a Novak in those, I moved to Tekin for most of my serious racing time.
