All theses cleaners I use are an (and/or) I use one or the other, or a combo of a couple of them.
I do not have an air compressor so I wipe everything off with rags and old towels. I also use Q-tips to clean into hard to reach areas and I also use tooth Brushes.
Cleaning like this takes a long time as I also do not have a work bench, or proper lighting.

I think its time for a work bench and a pit light.

I'm already using Simple Green by itself so I'm curious what's the added advantages in adding the Methyl hydrate alcohol or denatured alcohol.

lol, yeah right. I know.
I currently do not have my own place and do not make enough to buy or rent my own place so, the living room floor at parents is what I use now.

Default CLEANERS

SIMPLE GREEN FOR TIRES,ENDUST FOR BODY AND PLASTIC PARTS, A TOOTH BRUSH AND A LITTLE MINERAL SPIRITS FOR THE MOTOR AND PIPE,CUTS THE FUIL RESIDUE FROM CHASSIS ALSO,AND MINERAL SPIRITS WORK WELL WHEN CLEANING PARTS THAT HAVE SHOCK OR DIFF FLUIDS ON THEM

That is the other stuff I use, except it is non orange and is in yellow bottle. I have also use an cleaner that is used in the bathroom that sprays a foam that cleans really well, metals and plastics, but using it on metals will remove the anodizing if scrubbed too much or left on, and no it is not oven cleaner.

I strongly believe the little crystals that form when you mix has some positive attributes, I know that My Mixture cleans my brush's where Plain Unmixed simple green wont touch it.

Im not too sure if Denatured would do the same thing, but its worth a shot. Just dont mix a whole bottle.

I really like O'donnel speed wash. It does a good job of shining and degreasing. I am hearing mixed things about WD-40, good for bearings but not for hinge pins, why not just use bearing oil and no WD-40? Anybody like the dishwasher?

Most times i just prefer to dust off using a small paint brush.I have noticed splashing around water on a regular basis makes too many parts go rusty.
