Thanks for the info and the help at the US champs. I noticed you are using the New CRC Red spring and when I try that spring it is way softer than the old CRC red. The spring chart I'm working with shows the new spring equivalent of the old CRC red is right in between the New CRC Gold and the New CRC Copper? I ran the new red at Horsham in one qualifier and with 3.4mm rear ride height and loaded level pod and the chassis was covered in black track gook.
That's providing the car felt good and stearing wasn't an issue.
If the spring was just too soft for your track/layout and you had a push, then 1 spring stiffer would be my next thing to change with the clearance still at 3.4mm

Hey I tried this, it works, it's a great set up! The car was so much fun. Skills or lack of had me go to a different tire, team purple, and blues. The new red spring , and pod droop perfect balance to the car. I had no tweak in the car all day.

If I run into a situation like that, I'd try going to 4mm clearance.

New to pan.
Hi, just searching for some advise. I'm looking at starting 12th scale racing and came across the CRC ae. Car looks awesome with great tune-ability. Only problem I live in Australia and can't seem to find anywhere online where I can get spares. Amainhobbies has the car but very limited spares. I'm happy to buy from japan or hk if required. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thx.

Ran the altered ego for the first time this weekend and having a traction roll issue. Carpet is extremely high traction ozite and had the following setup:
front
black tires cut to 1.62" SXT compound 1/5th inner then nothing
.45 springs
-.5 camber
caster all the way forward
30k lube on kingpin
3mm ride height
rear
white side springs just touching
30k lube in dampers
gold center spring/35wt oil
blue tires cut 1.68" full SXT
3mm ride height
battery rear
Mohawk body
Had the chassis low enough that it drug the front, and turned the dual rate on transmitter down so much it became hard to get through chicanes etc. but that was the only way to stop the traction rolling.
Open for ideas.

What castor blocks did you run?
How much rear pod droop?
How long did the traction sit on?
Did you try other rear tires (graylow or gray?)
How much droop was in the front?
When traction gets high I go stiffer front springs, much smaller diameter tires, traction on for a shorter time, and much less droop in the front.

rear pod droop less than 1mm front basically none. I will have to check caster blocks but whatever came in the kit. sxt applied for 5 minutes and wiped then air dried for about fifteen. I never tried other rears as I thought something softer would make the problem worse. on the center spring wouldn't a softer spring allow more weight transfer to the front when cornering?

If you have 10* castor blocks you may want to try 5*
I'm not a fan of letting the tires air dry, they just become more sticky.
When I tried Blue rears I had more traction with those then I did with yellows, graylow, or grays. The grays felt like the car was on top of the carpet, not bogged in it, if that makes sence.
