Who was fast in the other classes?
Do you have any times from Friday?
The weather is supposed to be good tomorrow. That will throw most of the racers for a loop. Just the people with Tamiya cars that practice all the time will know what to do. The first race of Invite is going to be really interesting. See who has been SANDBAGGING in practice like most of them do.
futureal-You are in the city that was home to the First Off-Road Worlds. See you at the race tomorrow I am looking forward to meeting you.

SCIDA: I remember those off-road worlds -- I was there as a spectator! I was 6 or 7 years old at the time, it was the first R/C event I'd ever seen. My father was into thoroughbred racing and the Del Mar Fairgrounds are right across from where the worlds were held (at the old Losi shop/track, before Losi was around). I'd go to the fairgrounds with him and occasionally stop out at the track.
I don't have lap times -- there was no digitally available file, and I wasn't about to sit there and write down lap times.
aviaar: I am working on video (see the first post in my thread). We have this monster video camera that we are figuring out, it makes some nice quality shots. Coming soon to a DVD near you!
shortygy: "Vanilla TC3" as in plain vanilla stock same-as-always TC3.

And here's your video teaser for the day. I call this piece, "Hara meets Baker" for obvious reasons.
It's a 2.7MB file and it's only 12 seconds long, I didn't bother to downsample it, I've just been messing around with the video. The rain added some spots to the lens that I didn't catch until I got home, which was a bummer. We learned a bunch about it today and should be able to grab much better video tomorrow.
Anyway, here we are:
http://www.rctech.net/events/reedy20...eets_baker.wmv
PLEASE right-click the link and choose "Save Target As..." rather than re-downloading it from the server each time you watch it.
Oh yea, and you need Windows Media Player to view this sucker. Like I said, I was too lazy to do DivX, Quicktime or some other not-quite-as-sucky format.

There is no top anything, because qualifying does not begin until tomorrow. Today was the second (and final) day of practice.
There are 3 rounds of open mod and 19T qualifying tomorrow, and 4 rounds of invitational racing.
The invite class does not use traditional qualifying, they run 8 heads-up rounds and the results are based on that.

If all goes well, I will be able to post top 10s after each round. I will try to get full results files, but they are usually not too willing to stop the program to dump the information to a file.
