Some Tamiya shells say that they'll fit the TT-01 chassis, but that it needs to be short wheelbase. Like the Z4 M Coupe shell, 51295. What does that mean? Do you simply flip the rear arms around?

I will be running the local Trans-Am class/silver can motor spec class with my TT-01. I have the 3Racing aluminum parts on my car and the top deck. Will post some pics once I get the body painted.

Anyone have a good starting setup for a TT-01 on carpet with a silver can motor. I am gonna be running in the Trans-Am class with vintage HPI tires and the tub chassis. I have the top deck and red/yellow/blue spring set and adjustable front/rear camber arms. my gearing is at 58/24.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know the stock TT01 tires are not the best around, but Tamiya did not provide and instructed us to put any inserts in the slicks. Should we be putting any? 'cos the tires seem "punctured".

This is probably answered somewhere in the thread, but will some kind soul help?

We're running a spec silver can vintage class and for our particular track an FDR of about 6.5 seems to work the best. Any way to get close to this with a TT-01?

Anyone know if the conversion kit for the TT-01E is just the same as the conversion kit for the regular TT-01. I am thinking about getting the conversion kit for my TT-01.

Look at posting #835 on March 03, 2008 in this thread; there is a chart of all of the stock tamiya ranges possible. 6.5 can be had with a 23 pinion and a 58 spur.

You want to convert your regular 01 to a 01E? The main differences are in the upper deck, steering and shock mounts.

the motor mount is also a little different on the tt-01E. i tried to put one on my regular tt-01, but had problems with the upper deck and the stiffener.

Yeah, I think you gotta use the upper deck from the 01E. I used the 01E upper deck, steering and motor mount cover on my 01. The "upper arm holder" has to be filed down to accomodate the lower height of the 01E upper deck. Or you can get the parts tree with that part. I didn't bother with the suspension upper mounts.
