Just got back from IIC with 2 of TCXX 14. Thanks to Hiro for all the setup tips! I'm finally getting used to this carpet racing and setup. Even though I will race on the rug once a year at this event.
Not enough time to test, but got close enough in setup to do good in the amateur class. My stock car kept rolling over, I'm gonna have to tear the car apart when I have time to look what was causing it.

Yes I was running the 2014 kit. Very nice upgrade. Contact Danny at Apex rc, he might have the last couple of kits in stock.
Last year I ran out of the box kit with 2.25 option chassis, Yokomo springs, and changed shock/ diff fluid. The car was in the ballpark for carpet racing. I think XX car stock , was meant for asphalt racing. But the car has many option parts for carpet.
Time to rebuild the car again for asphalt season

1-1.5mm above the rim. On the gravity tires, I was glueing right above the wording on the actual rubber.

I coat the entire sidewall from wheel to mid radius, then while slowly rotating the tire I smooth it with plastic. Let it dry and it'll be shiny, but not stiff.
It's best to use glue that is medium setting

You're taking away grip from the sidewall so as the tire flexes and rolls it doesn't bite and flip the car.
