Unfortunately, I fear that someone decided to help themselves to an early Christmas gift. I really hope it wasn't a racer, the thought of stealing from another racer never crossed my mind.

rossb, I saw it while you were racing, it was sitting on your table, I think I saw you move it when you started packing up.

Hey rev. Dr. Ray!
That was a hell of a write up you made on the HPI site! Wow! It was like reading a novel of racing. If you were in my class, I would give you an "A" with a star because of the use of words and visualization! When did you get a chance to write all of that?? And how could you remember all the details of so many races??? WOW!!! I can't half way remember the details of my race??!!!
Great job on the writing as well as other things!

Oh yea, I want to see some pics too!! I didn't post all of mine. I took over 200 pics. I want to see others pics!! HURRY UP!!!!

I can't take that credit....The Pope Daddy wrote it, and I just submitted it. I think that Barton Vodka was nearby, when he wrote it though....

Annuda HPI Challenge in the books and once again an event that just fits what I was looking for.

During these economically "challenging" times it is greatly appreciated that HPI still came through and did this deal for our region. It's not like they have to do these things to survive. Thank you Andy and those involved in making the calls on following through to support our area.

Ray, you know, you must get real tired of hearing from those loyal to you throw praise at ya' but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"here it comes again"!!!!!!
Though excessive moisture in the air was not a concern this weekend, the heat certainly took it's toll on the cars, and your equipment. But in "Ray Murray" style, you kept your nose the the grindstone and just flat out
"Got R Done"

From what I could get, the majority of participants fully enjoyed the time spent at this event.

Gotta give props to these persons,

John Oddone, serious nitro horsepower and setup help.

Scrappy Hooten,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ah, I mean Scooby Horton, setup help and moral
support. Did I include Horton and moral in the same sentence?????

"Fast" Freddy Perkins, my Hot Bodies teammate. Thanks for assembling the
"Clone" (Cyclone) and then cloning your "rent-a-ride" to mine and stepping
up your program big time. We put on a great show for the spectators.

Drew Anastasio, thanks for all the set up help to get me closer to being race
worthy.

Jaime Swift of Swifty Designs and Chris Green of Bodies By Bean, paint.

The Sixfootiger crew for always being there.

All the racers and their support crews for attending and making these events
go.

Lastly to a guy who did not exactly have the best of weekends, Barry Loftin.
This guy had put much effort into this weekend and by Sunday was not
feeling well. Left and went home. Later came back and informed me that he
had made a promise to me to be my gasman. I told him it was ok and I
would find someone to do it, but he felt a promise was a promise, and he
wanted to keep his word. His determination paid off for the both of us in
the way of my victory in Nitro Vintage. Thats back to back victories (2008 and 2009) for me
with Barrys' guidance during pitting and setting up my car. You are a
champion!

Looking forward to seeing everyone next year.

peace out
