Default Can a plus 4 hang with speeds and reedys

Hi all i am in the market for a new engine and want to know if a novarossi plus 21 4 can hang with a os speed worlds for out and out grunt i know the plus 4 is very smooth but i have never actually seen one running. i guess the speed has a bit more top but the plus 4 has more runtime

i also saw a reedy 21 for the first time and was amazed at the bottomend power however it seems to drop off at the top how does the plus 4 compare to this. i guess the p4 has more top but can i match the reedy for bottom

Basicly have any of you plus 4 owners out dragged a speed on the main straight or pulled a gap on a reedy out of a turn

incase you havent guessed my new engine choices are

Os speed worlds

Novarossi Plus 21 4 2009

Reedy V.21

any help will be much appreciated

Ben

A +4 can hang with anything with the right set-up. A Toro Nero even more so.

If you want top end speed, get NovaRossi toro nero. Overall performance, I would say OS Vspec II. But it is $500.

The Nova will have NO trouble on most tracks.

If you're on a really large track, maybe reach for the Nero.

Otherwise, the 4 with the 9901 or 9853 pipes will suite you just fine.

9901 is smooth and works well all around power/mileage.

9853 takes a slight hit in mileage but has more torque.

Neither suffer on the top end compared to an OS and the 4 provides stronger bottome either way.

I like that bolwextic track is really nice the other link was dead have you considered the ninja jx .21 but out of the engines you listed I think the nova would be a good choice

For Os speed pricing you can get a tuned +4 ran-in from Houston.

The above Euro track looks like a great place for the Toro, but I'd still lean towards the +4.

We need more track like that in the US, all our tracks are starting to look like indoor supercross.

This is a motor alot of people seem to overlook when comparing engine to engine, and it stronger and faster than a few you are looking at, it is nasty

yeah the FMS is not available here in the uk

i was planning to get the speed or plus 4 from tiawan as they are

£170 plus 4 of £270 os speed

is the plus 4 really that good it does seem to do good in all the top races

i really want a new engine and know the speed is very good as a lot of people run it at my local track but was wondering how the plus 4 compared to it i have driven a os speed and love the power is very linear and allways on tap throughout the rev range is the plus 4 the same

I have drivin a Plus 4 in a losi 2.0 and it was like riding a 4 stroke dirt bike. You get on the trigger and the motor starts pullin. It honestly left my with my mouth wide open.

Out of your listed choices I would pick the Plus 4, but if you are considering to get the O.S. Speed II save about $200 and get the Ninja JX 21.
