I know i'm off topic but I ned a little help with this arm mount. I was wondering if any RC company made this part in aluminum or a better/harder plastic than the factory AE. I'm talking about part # 3863 (R). I race modified and every time i get a hit this part breaks... I know that it has to have a weak link but I need something stronger. If anyone can help please......Thank's in advance.

Rear Arm mount...
Thank's guys, I've seen the one on speedtech but i was wondering if it was strong enough or at least better than the factory ones. I was also searching the Team Trinity site (as sugested by a fellow forum member) and they also make it in aluminum, 2 pair for 35.99. What has been the experience of this part in aluminum??? I don't want to throw away that kind of money if it isn't that good or strong. Help me out... Thank's

Silent Strike,
Delrin is a much stronger material than molded nylon. And since Delrin is a machined material, the part is more precise than the molded piece.

I used the ones from SQUARE 2.5 and 3 degrees, but since Tobee Craft makes a Delrin Version (the one that Speed Tech has) I started using them, It has 3 degrees of toe in but stronger than the stock plastic / Graphite which AE makes!!!
I ordered mine from Rainbowten but it will be a lot cheaper if you get it from Speedtech since same country and all!!!
Personally, the one from Tobee Craft is better and lighter!!!

Axiom5B,
Let us reserve our opinion until we actually see what it looks like The top deck might be "skinny" but it's hard to tell just how thick or thin it is because of the photos. As with most product that comes through the shop, I will test them out first and if they are not good, we won't bother carrying them. So far, FLAP racing parts have been of excellent quality as we've just test fitted their Barracuda R2 chassis
Each manufacture's design have their purpose and theory behind them, and having talk to Noboru (Owner of FLAP, multiple Japan national champion and A-main finalist) while he was here for the Reedy Race, this guy knows R/C Racing!

Axiom5B,
no problem, but I would agree that it is geared specifically for asphalt racing because in Japan, there are no carpet tracks, only asphalt

Well guys I finally got to race the tc3 with a spool today, I couldn't have asked for a better handling car, qualified 2nd, finished 3rd(Amain). With the wide availability of parts and the selection of aftermarket parts I'm definately sold on the TC3. I think I'll be sticking with this car for awhile.
Anyone know why flap didn't cutout and extra battery slot like the stock chassis?..just something to think about.

proudwinner- what setup are you running on your car? i put a baker setup from the '02 reedy race with a front diff and ran that for a while when i first started on asphalt this summer. then after a couple of days of running i put a locked diff in and then the set up really started to work well. i am running cs-27 pre mounts and sorex 36rs with med inserts.
i now feel a spool is the only way to go. cant wait to try it on carpet this winter!

Spaz, that's a lilttle chinese secret I can't tell you, nah jk, here it is for a clean parking lot track(white greyish rock color)/no vht, sugarwater/ track temp: 125F/ track size: +/-120'X75'/ track was fast.
I used Baker's 2003 reedy race setup with these changes.
Used yokomo diaphramn shock caps.
Used 30wt. AE shock oil front and rear.
Used silver springs on the front.
Front ride height: 5mm.
Rear ride height 5.5mm.
Used the upper outer camber link position front and reat on tower.
-1 degree camber front/rear.
0 degree front toe.
Take Off 32's
Used Trinity's Death Grip "rubber" tire traction compound.
The rest is Barry Baker's setup from the last Reedy race.
