hi guys.

ran my pro4 last night with not very good results.

in the first heat form about 30 secs in my motor started braking/accelerating on its own.

it wasn't just in certain places on the track, it was everywhere.

i changed to a crystal all the way at hte other end of the scale (695 to 965) and the same problem happened.

but the weekend before i didnt have any problems like this, using the same motor.

so i was wondering if any of you guys had similar problems, or maybe know what the cause is.

here is a pic to show where abouts i put the rx, esc etc.

bear in the mind this is the first time i have ever had this problem.

hmm, so maybe its my ESC that is faulty?

i was told earlier that the V3's often toast them selves like the GT7's sometimes do, is this a common problem with V3's?

any solutions that i could give a go?

thanks

matt

for the steering plate, how tight do we screw the screws, if i make it tight, the steering doesnt feel free, so do i jsut tighten it as much as long as its free?

i notice that problem to just testing my car b4 i ran it in the parking lot the end of the shock ball cup rubbing on my take off tires to

the steering shouldnt be tight no matter how tight u screw the screw cuz it runs on bearings, but if the screw doesnt go in straight then itll tighten the steering so make sure its straight.

as for gear warp i also noticed that on my stock spur, but didnt happen when i replaced it with another one. i tihnk the best way to prevent is to crosspattern tighten it.

if the bottom shock pos. hits the rim then just scrape some material off the ball end, change the pos. for handling finetuning.

Default Carpet

Hey,

Has anyone been running on carpet with foams? Got any new observations or learned anything new?

I run on carpet with foams, I've been used to having big difference of shore ratings front to rear on my Pro 3, but with my Pro 4 I can run the same shore rating all round the car.

I was told to take all the spacers out of the suspension mounts to lower the roll centre as much as possible, this let the back end come out a little for really tight corners and made it handle really well.

Still running stock suspension mounts, springs, oil, no sway bars, changed the shock positions a little, but that's just about it.

Ray: my carpet test start this week....

I am starting with the stock set-up to get a baseline....

However, the track I run will be a little different than most.
It is an ozite oval with a roadcourse in the middle.

So a one-way may be faster due to the big sweepers

I do have a good baseline to compare against my TC3 & XXXs.

TC3 was better without a one-way, XXXs was better with.
