4wd is easier to drive and my opinion more fun, Do you plan on driving on a track or yard? You want big block power?

But stay on the nitro powered r/c and you will get addicted like we are at nitroaddicts

The GT2 is the best performing GT on the market today. You can't go wrong (as far as performance is concerned) with this truck.

Few questions you should answer to help us guage what would be suitable for you...

Whats your budget?

What do you want to do? Race or Bash?

Do you think you'll enjoy spending hours upon hours doing general maintenance on your nitro?

If you are planning on racing, i would stay away from the 1/10th scale 2 wheel drive gas trucks for one reason and one reason only. 2wd GT is dying, its already dead where i am at, nobody races it anymore. It would only be a matter of time before you showed up at the track and you will be the only person there that would be there with a 1/10th scale GT. Like i said gas truck is already dead as hell here, and parts for even the newest trucks are becoming harder and harder to find simply because they arent selling worth a damn.

Just my .02 but if GT is going strong where you are at and you wanna race it go for it. Im just afraid that the RC10GT2 came to late to save the GT class. It was already a lost cause when it got realesed.

If you don't have a budget get a truggy or a buggy u will like it alot better. Faster, more powerful,4wd,stronger.r u a racer or a basher? cuz a truggy will serve both. A gt2 is ok at bashing but personally I think the stock motor is just too slow and they get stuck cuz da 2 wd.
just my 2 cents

First of all, i would suggest buying what you want to buy. If you want 1/10 GT then go for it. Just make sure your local hobby shop has parts for what ever you buy. Most club race's at track will allow almost anyone with any vehicle to race, even if you dont fit into a specific class. You may get stuck with faster cars and better drivers, but chances are they will let you race at the club level.

Gas 2wd or electric mod 2wd will make you a better driver. You can upgrade later to a 4wd 1/8th. I would go to your local shop and see what they carry parts for or atleast what they can get parts for easily. I have a xxx nt and I really like it. I wouldnt say its any better or worse than the Gt though. I got it simply because of parts availability.

The gt2 is an awsome truck for racing, not so good for bashing...dosnt seem to take the abuse that well. But at the track it is at home. If you are wanting to try racing, the gt2 will be a good choice. As far as opting for the Adam Drake, which isnt much much better than the gt2, dont wast the money.
