Tower Hobbies and Stormer Hobbies still carry about all the TC3 parts.
As for shared TC3 and TC4 parts, best to look at the manuals and see if the part numbers are the same.

There are some shared parts but some are different. The tc3 was a much stronger kit, the 4 a little faster if you could stop tearing it apart. When the 4 first came out many quickly decided not to go there from the 3 as not enough changed for the better.

Team Associated webstore has some stuff and some Online places have aftermarket parts. Get a manual for the 3 and the 4 and you can see if you can sub the part in - but I'm pretty sure if they used the same part it has the same part# so you will know that way.

Spare arms!!! Front drive shafts hubs and carriers - its very hard to break much else.

But as bull said - keep an eye out for someone flogging a roller and parts - strip it and you have your spares.

These may help. You can print them or save the files. I printed them and then took a highlighter and went through them to see what parts were the same, and which were unique to the TC3 or TC4.

TWEEK?

I thought because of the body type chassis tweek was not really an issue.

I have a car setup.. suspension is rebuilt, droop is set, springs are set.. everything is in place,

but the weight on the 4 wheels is messed up.. the RR and LF are light.. and visa versa.. and off by more than 150g

Does this chassis tweek? and any other ideas what I am dealing with here??

In fact the battery in makes it worse. SO upfront on the non-servo side LH - its out by 150g - wow.... I can load lead on the front corner of the chassis but that will add weight over all and not specific to that corner.

Guess I am wondering if I should rebuild it again. If its common for this car to be out on that corner.. ????

Balancing my TC3 Tubbie with 3200 Lipo (212g)

LF...308G ...... RF....313G = 621G (48.0 %)

LR...337G ...... RR....341G = 678G (52.0 %)

Total Wht W/O body = 1299G W/B = 1450G.....68 HPI Camaro
(MUCHO SHOO GOO)

I balance it using one 600G scale and 3 3/4 inch plywood blocks. I
use a tweak bar to get it close. Then put the scale under one wheel
compress susp and read scale, carefully move scale to another wheel
compress susp and read scale, Do all four wheels, adjust shocks
accordingly. I had to add a lexan shim to the top of the scale to
get the same level as the ply blocks. Gets close enough for me.

We run 1430g min wht (NOT my choice) 21.5 motor No boost ESCs.

I won 2 mains and finished second once last summer We race on a
sugar water prepped track 80' X150'. Runs great nicely balanced. I
run it once in a while in TC stock and it is competitive. I replaced the
tub with an IRS carbonfiber chassis. So come Aprill I can give that
a try.

Carpet - small track - 9 sec laps - 17.5 blinky. looking for a carpet suspension setup.

One I followed was a AE driver pre-brushless - no sway and no uplimit. I feel i am getting too much roll, need more cornering.

Anyone have or point to link of 17.5 setup for small carpet I can use as a starting point?

Well I was out with the TC3 running our Canadian VTA which is 21.5

I was not planted very well.. I would be loose in the back and usually pushing in the front.

I have silver up front and gold in the read. Droop is factory I think, and I have adjusted for 5mm rideheight all around.

I am back to running VTA - I just like it better, so .. upper control arms - long or short? Caster Camber? what are people using on their tc3 for vta.

I run the HPI Camaro body.. sits kind of high.. need to get it planted.. suggestions for getting the car more solid.. do people run swaybars for VTA?

try a softer rear spring, should be softer then front.

so with a silver front go with a green rear, or put the silver in the back a blue up front.

Are you using tracktion compound ?? if so full front and rear ?? if so try full rear and 1/2 front or less.

How do I upgrade the tc3's steering to the ntc3 or tc4 steering system? I don't like the steering rack.

CTA TC3, Ballistic 21.5, GTB2, 1450g with Team Checkpoit 3200lipo

Track 36' X80' Older CRC carpet

Front Spring Silver 35wt assoc oil

Rear Spring Green 30wt assoc oil

5mm ride height

Front diff slightly tighter than rear

Rear camber links long and high

Standard droop setting

SXT3.0 full front and rear

I get quite a bit of chassis roll, Car is very neutral, turns in good. I might try small front sway bar to reduce roll ????
