Now I have this one, can I use this motor? Ha Ha

Anyhow with these motors I am familiar with tuning them and what brushes work best for them.
I know I am not going to run anything below a 12 turn and I think 12-15 turn will be right in the ballpark for that chassis and running gear. Maybe 10 turn will be, I just would rather go with what I know with the 12 turns. I know one thing is for sure, I will be getting an HPI Pro4 to run soon.

Now I just need to figure out the differences in wires.
Single Flat Wire
Double Flat Wire
Single Round Wire
Double Round Wire

So many choices I don't know what to do.

Talking AE/REEDY Rocks!!

We should order some REEDY Ti's together Allen. I can get then straight from AE/REEDY if you want they are real kick A$$ motors!! Then we can get Br00d armatures once we have the cans. I am going single winds so they'll spool up quicker for our surface!!

So does the Ti motor use laydown or stand up brushes?

Default Krypton

I think I am going to use the motor Superman would use Kr "Krypton". This motor uses laydown brushes and it is tunable like the Quad mag.

Well just picked up a 10 Kr single I figured I get a 10 turn so I can use it in the winter on my 12th scale as well. Might try to run mod later this year or next year in my sedan.

Post Motor Cap

The rest of us have 12 & 13 Doubles. I don't think we should get below the 12's for these cars. We're gonna have to come up with a cap for motors in this class....It was Super Stock because everyone was running Brushless until now. So, now that we all are going brushed, what do we do??

Do you mean that is what you have as a motor? That is what they had only 10 turn motors but if you make the call that we should run 12 turn or up that is fine. I will take the motor back and order a 12 turn. But make the call the longer I wait the longer it will take to get the motor.

What do you think??

Yes, Mikey and I do have 12's & 13's....I just got a Novak GT7 and have my REEDY Kr 12 Double in the car. I can get REEDY motors for $47.50 including shipping direct from them. I want to put in an order so if you want a couple let me know. Is that a better price than you got?? What motor do you want to run?? If you want to run a 10 turn that's fine. I would like to see us run between 12-14 turn motors -or- we could do 10-14. I like the fact of keeping us "Stock" meaning we all run the same turn or close to it. If we say 12-14 turns is the limit -or- 10-14. Let me know what you think.

I am on the same page as you guys I would prefer to run the same turn motor as everyone else. I have no problem running a 12 turn I grabbed the 10 turn because it was all that was left and it made since because I could use it this winter when I run mod 12th scale.

Talking Let the brushed games begin!!

Ok, if everyone in our class is good with it then we'll make a rule, since the brushless are out of the picture, 12 -or- 13 turns only in the Super Stock class. Then we'll continue the good close racing that we are having so much fun with each race. Let the brushed racing begin.....except for Allen who has been brushing it all along!!
