I am newer to the Bay area and can't seem to find any tracks in the area that run nitro onroad. It seems like 8 years ago, there was a lot happening but everyone has since disappeared?

No more 1/8th nitro in your area that I'm aware of although these guys run fifth scale on a really nice track: http://www.rctech.net/forum/californ...acing-156.html if electric absolutely isn't your thing.

Thanks Mark for the reply. I know about RAMS but it seems like they don't run any nitro class anymore unfortunately. It's hard to believe that there are just no 1/8 guys out here when there were so many 15 years ago. I guess everyone just gave up the hobby?

Onroad turnouts are less than half of what it was 15 years ago sadly.

You can run nitro sedan at Norcal hobbies in San Jose or Speedworld raceway in Roseville (about 2hrs from Norcal) that's about all the nitro onroad going in northern Cali. Nitro sedan should be big this year at Speedworld.

Thank you for the info Scott. I spoke to Nor-Cal hobbies and hopefully we can get a couple of guys that will bring out their 1/8 cars.

Just your luck, Pole Position RC will be hosting a nitro trial race on May 13 at Warm Springs raceway. Looks like we will have a good turnout of 1/8th and 1/10th nitro since the news is spreading.

No prob. RAMS runs the track, but primarily is the 1/5th scale group. PPRC works with RAMS to run 1/10th races.

1/8 onroad cars on that track should be impressive. Very nice looking track. The RAMS club has always had it together.
